Imperial Navy: Positions: Flight Leader

There are two flight leader positions in each of the Imperial Navy's starfighter squadrons... Each leads a flight group, which contains a total of four fighter slots and places up to three wingmen of Ensign rank under a flight leader's supervision.

Leading the second and third of a squadron's three "flight groups", the flight leaders fill fighter slots 2–1 & 3–1, and may also be referred to as Flight Two Leader & Flight Three Leader, respectively.

Both flight leaders within a squadron are considered equally prominent, and directly subordinate to their squadron leader, who leads the first of the squadron's three flight groups.
