The Galactic Empire: An Empire Reborn
Imperial Officers' Manual
Major Revision: 2.0 – 2008.10.31
An adaptation of the pre–Endor document and policies.

General Duties

With the authority of a Division Commander comes great responsibility, as these positions are amongst the most intensive – and trusted – within the whole of the GE command structure.

The basic duties and expectations of any Division Commander include...

  • Encouraging and maintaining within their Division, through both dictate and example, at all times, an atmosphere consistent with Imperial ideals, laws, protocols and policies.
  • Acting as the highest representative of their Division to the Empire as a whole.
  • Maintaining an "open door" policy, by acting as the highest level of review for questions/concerns/disputes from officers in their Division, before approaching the Supreme Commander.
  • Ensuring their Division possesses a reliable, updated website in accordance with the GE's HoloSite Policies (keeping the Supreme Commander abreast of any changes in URL).
  • Filing regular Division reports.
  • Reviewing for final approval/denial the majority of promotion notices and medal requests made for officers within their Division.
  • Directly supervising all members of their Division Command as well as their Division's highest-ranking unit commanders: appointing where needed, removing when necessary, and collecting regular status reports from the same.
  • Temporarily assuming the responsibilities of any absent Division Command members.

NOTES

  1. Commanders of Imperial Institutions and other major sections of the Empire will find their duties are composed of a subset of those attributed to full DivComs... Appropriate instruction will be relayed by the Supreme Commander, upon appointment.
