The Galactic Empire: An Empire Reborn
Imperial Officers' Manual
Major Revision: 2.0 – 2008.10.31
An adaptation of the pre–Endor document and policies.

The Galactic Empire: An Empire Reborn participates frequently in various "External Competitons"; competitions where some of the participants are non-members of the GE, whether hosted by the GE or externally. Such an "External Competition" may be eligible for various awards.

In order to receive credit for participation in an external competition, an officer must fill out an External Competition Participation (ECP) Report in GE Administration. The format of the report is simple; simply indicate the competition in question, and provide some evidence to show your participation. Note that third party evidence (e.g. the competition results spreadsheet) is always preferred to a simple statement of facts. This report will be reviewed by the Tactical Coordinator, and if found meritorious, he will award credit to the reporting officer.

Elite Units

Many external competitions are "open", in that any officer may elect to participate, if he or she so desires. In this case, there are no restrictions on participation, except when declared otherwise.

For other occasions, however, the Empire must sent a representative team to the competition. In these cases, the Supreme Commander will activate Scimitar Squadron and the Royal Guard to represent the Empire and win a great victory.

Awards

In order to reward officers for their performance in such an external competition, the service medal variant of the Imperial Star is awarded for participation.

Should an officer of the Empire place first, second, or third, in a multiple–faction competition, such as the Inter–Club Training Event, he or she is awarded the Imperial Combat Cross, for the glory brought to the Empire!

Further medals are at the discretion of the Supreme Commander. While officers may be awarded medals or accolades from other factions for their performance in events, per GE rules, they may not be worn on an officer's uniform, nor displayed on an officer's ID–Line, without special permission from the Supreme Commander.
