The Galactic Empire: An Empire Reborn
Imperial Officers' Manual
Major Revision: 2.0 – 2008.10.31
An adaptation of the pre–Endor document and policies.

While The Galactic Empire partakes in a variety of activities and events, its core is incontestably the extermination of the rebellion via the LucasArts platforms on which it is based... The Galactic Empire Combat Chamber – accessible via the GE Combat Centre – is the official repository of all official GE Simulations (collections of custom Imperial–aligned levels created for GE–supported game platforms).

Depending on their type & platform, certain GE Simulations are for download only, whereas others are playable for "official credit"... This may include placings on elite "high score charts", registration of accomplishments into one's GE Officer Profile, or even the achievement of medal awards for one's combat victories!

Officers with tactical talents are highly encouraged to create Simulations in any of the categories listed below... Submitting good working Simulations to the Empire is a highly notable service that shall always count toward an appropriate medal award (currently, the Medal of Tactics).

Simulation Submissions

The creation of new GE Simulations is a highly notable – and encouraged – activity, for which official credit is awarded... And although officers are generally limited to playing Simulations that correspond to their own Division, they are not so limited in tactical design, and may submit Simulations for any of the GE's supported platforms.

However, to ensure general enjoyment, the GE need maintain a basic level of quality in its Simulation(s)... Therefore, any submission not conforming to the guidelines below will necessarily be returned to its author for revision.

Simulation Standards: All Simulations

  • All Simulations must be Imperial–aligned, though it is permissible to create a mission in which Rebel craft are flown, as long as the mission remains Imperial–aligned.
  • Simulations should be submitted to the Tactical Coordinator for review & testing.
  • Simulations may be submitted in the form of stand–alone missions (a simulation containing one level) or battles (a simulation containing three or more levels, which follow a continuous storyline).
  • If sending a multi–mission battle, missions should be named so that their correct order is obvious.
  • For clarity of paperwork, please send only one Simulation per e–mail. In the body of the e–mail, you need include:
    • Your ID–Line
    • The simulation's title (if any)
    • A short one or two sentence description of the simulation (similar to the ones posted in the Combat Chamber)
  • If an author plans to involve specific GE officers in their Simulation beyond simply mentioning their rank or station, it is a "recommended" courtesy to gain their input on the role they will be playing.
  • Some officers have added an extra level of creativity by integrating their simulations with pieces of fiction they have authored. Such pieces of fiction may optionally be sent along with a simulation, and will accompany it when posted to the Combat Chamber. These should be in Plain Text (TXT), Hypertext (HTML), Rich Text (RTF) or WordPad (DOC) format. Plaintext and HTML are preferred.
