Brief Synopsis
The Senior Fleet Officer is one of the closest–serving officers to
the Supreme Commander... A figurehead of the Imperial
fleet, he commands the ISD Chimaera: flagship of Fleet
Admiral Tiberius Fel and The Galactic Empire.
Position Description
The title of Senior Fleet Officer is always held by the
ship captain of the Imperial flagship...
Partially honorary, it denotes three special things: Firstly, that the holder is
a figurehead to the Imperial fleet through commanding the ship to which all
other vessels are subordinate... Secondly, that the Senior Fleet Officer
is responsible for the ISD Chimaera's HoloNet site... Thirdly, the widely
known fact that the captain of Fleet Admiral Tiberius Fel's
own flagship acts on many occasions as a right–hand associate to him.
Likewise, the Senior Fleet Officer may be called upon to act as an assistant
to the Commander of the Navy.
The Senior Fleet Officer is typically afforded higher security
clearance to Imperial facilities than other officers of similar rank, as the
Supreme Commander regularly relies on his discussion &
input, and may also request that the captain act on his behalf at any time and
in a variety of circumstances. Consequently, the Senior Fleet Officer
commands much respect throughout the fleet.
