The rank of Vice Admiral is the highest that an officer can reasonably hope to achieve... A Vice Admiral in standard Navy service has command over a Sector Group, which maintains control over an entire sector of GE space, and will be the Flag Officer onboard the Sector Group's flagship. A Sector Group is typically composed of an ISD and no less than three systems forces, with the standard compliment of men ranging from 150 - 200 "real–life" officers! Needless to say, there will be very few of these positions available, with the subordinate forces reaching a size near to the largest that any single officer will have beneath their jurisdiction... |
