EPSILON SQUADRON REPORT - 08 AUG 2004

This is the weekly report of Epsilon Squadron.
Generals:
At level of GE, most of the activities is guided to the development of competitions Multiplayer, between members of the GE and members of other Club, activities in which participate, in outstanding form, members of our squadron. This is something that makes proud to our squadron (especially to me). The monthly evaluation of the squadron has concluded, and the result of the same one has left me satisfied. The level of activity of the members of our squadron has been outstanding, and he has gone in benefit of our own club. For this same reason, I congratulate to the members of my squadron and I invite them to continue in the way that they have made it until now. Congratulations, Epsilon Squadron.

This week I have been with a lot of work in my RL. However, the example of activity example by the members of my own squadron has motivated me to make an effort. I have left some Post in the MB of Empirereborn, read some reports, exchanged E-mails with the members of my squadron (what is a pleasure for me), and carried out some modifications to the Web of Epsilon.

For their outstanding services to the Empire, it has been promoted to Ensign First Class. Has obtained the BCC of JK3 and he has sent the first chapter of your novel, Blackthorn Command. It maintained contact for e-mail with their LT and he has left several Post in the MB of the Empire reborn. Sent a small report from their activities to their LT, what is an excellent exercise for future obligations. Congratulations, EF.

Results of Red Alert 2:

Therefore, the winner of this month is the Sublieutenant Tollek. Congratulations!!!
RED ALERT 3. This is a very simple competition. The same as in Red Alert 2, all the members of the squadron should complete the mission that is attached to their e-mail, IMPERIAL NAVY SIMULATION #30 (GES 30 XvT). The mission should be send to me, and the delivery term is up to the 31 August 2004. The one that achieves the biggest score will win a medal. Participate all, and have fun.
TO INSTALL:
Go to your main XvT folder (usually C:\Program Files\LucasArts\XwingTie), and then to the 'Train' folder (inside the main XvT folder).
Back up the file IMPERIAL.LST! ... It is the only file that will get replaced during installation.
Unzip/extract the contents of the Simulation ZIP file into your main X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter folder, with the 'Use Folder Names' option (or equivalent) on.
Run X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter, and create a new pilot file with a descriptive name (such as "YourPilotName30" for Simulation #30).
Fly & complete all missions ( 01 mission in this battle ) associated with the simulation in sequence, then send in your pilot file to obtain official credit! (in this case, to me, your Lieutenent)
TO UN-INSTALL:
Restore overwritten LST files with the backup copies you made in Step #2, and X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter will return to its previous state.
NickName for our squadron.
Our squadron has a motto "No Remorse, No Reprieve". But now it is necessary us a (Not official) NickName. Some examples of NickNames can see them in their respective wings. Who sends the best NickName to their lieutenant (me) will win a medal!!. The delivery term concludes in August 31. Participate!!!

Well welll well ... im gone for a year and look what happens!! Just kidding . most of you may be wondering who i am, some of you may faintly remember a young omicronite ensign named Loire or some might remember a smug SL on the nemesis. Lets just say i joined a LONG time ago. I remember when calder was an LT, and all these squadron leaders were ensigns. Either way its good to be back and i hope we can get our little empire moving again!!!!!!

PROMOTIONS / MEDALS
This is one of the sections that more I like them.
Our pilot Eddard Stark has been promoted to Ensign First Class. The High Command and me are specially happy because this ascent is deserved. Congratulations, EF Stark.!!!
GENERAL
Recommendations.
With the new system of ranges, all the Ensigns has the opportunity of being promoted to Ensigns First Class (EF), and the Sub Lieutenants to Second Lieutenants (2LT).
How to achieve a promotion?
Well. The main thing is to be active. Should be shown participation in the message boards, to participate in the competitions of the squadron and of the GE, to show interest in the TDA's (if one has time), to propose and to carry out activities that benefit to the GE and the squadron, and mainly, to maintain a regular communication with your Lieutenant. This last it is the most important thing. Your squadron leader, *should*, as much as possible, to have news of your activities in the GE. For this reason it is advisable to send copy of their activities, and as much as possible, if you is communicating with some superior, to send copy of these e-mails to their Lieutenant. Only this way be able to evaluate and to know if they are qualified to receive a recognition, which can be a promotion, or a medal (for example, MoM). Don't worry if they consider some of these activities like confidential. Their squadron leader is very discreet.
Orders:
I reproduce here the Standing Orders incorporated in the web of Epsilon.
1) FLY FOR COMBAT LADDERS (Multiplayer Competitions).This is one of the little competitions in those that the whole GE participates and that at the moment it is in progress. Be attentive to the invitations to participate that they are placed in the MB ( www.empirereborn.net/holonet ). Personally I will transcribe some of them for their knowledge.When you participate, send me an e-mail, to have knowledge of it. For me it is a very important information. They can win medals, when winning some combat, or for constant participation (these last medals will see them me, personally)
2) FLY FOR SQUADRON COMPETITIONS. This is an important activity. Monthly we will have competitions in those that we will see their ability like pilots. This way, you will have a great opportunity to win medals. Also be carried out ability competitions, as the nicknames creation, mottos, graphics or fictions. These competitions will also have prizes of medals, for what your participation is very important.
3) FLY THE MISSIONS OF COMBAT CHAMBER. Although the FPR is not still enabled, this will be good way to increase your ability like pilots (and also you will have fun). I suggest them that, once completed a mission, send me their pilot's copy, to revise their score. These missions will store them in my computer, and I will process them in the FPR when it is enabled. Also, with this I will be able to evaluate their activity inside the squadron.
NON Flying:
1) Recruit! (Very important)
a) Invite your friends and family to enter Galactic Empire, Empire Reborn, and play with us! (and join Epsilon)

Go to: http://academy.empirereborn.net/ and offer help to cadets!
After helping them out speak to them of our Squadron. You can help them, mainly, giving them advice of as completing their training..
2) Post on our message boards! Visit www.empirereborn.net/holonet go to Officer´s bars and post in Epsilon's Bar, or in any other division in that you wants to participate.
3) Do other stuff! It's just about ANYTHING, from sending e-mail, being on IRC, sending graphics and fiction for Epsilon.To maintain communication with your squadron leader is very important. In my particular case, as I don't have permanent connection to internet, the best way is through the e-mail. Or, in the message boards, which I revise regularly.
