The EROM only states that "Mr." is a very often used alternative for NCOs. However, it also states that I can also just address you by name, as an subordinate. That means I can also just call you Mr.

And if you don't stop this pointless debate, I will make sure that La Forge calls you "Mrs" from now on. ;P

Longstreet: Officers, especially higher ranking ones, have the freedom to use "Mr". There is nothing derogatory in it. In fact, the word descends from a very respectfull two word combination.

Yes, the use of "Mr." is acceptable. Daemon used to do it often...

And just to add my two cents on the matter of Picard and his lack of authority within the Empire: If your superiors say he has authority (quote La Forge: "And besides, if Picard did it, it must be good!"), then he does. Period. :P

I remember hot chocolate beeing in use also in our galaxy, as Luke and Mara are
drinking this in ... donÂ´t remember which book it was, could be Eye of Palpatine, could be another.
