Quite a lot of changes. The Supreme Commander is now FA Fel, the Commander of the Navy is now VA Jagged Fel and the Tactical Coordinator is now CD Wedge.

Well, I'm very pleased with what I've seen some of you guys manage to do since I arrived. You're all going to make the Second Brigade something to be very proud of! Keep it up and we'll become the best unit of the Empire!

The Member of Distinction for this report has to be Branson Jons. Not only did he qualify for both Certifications in his chosen platform, he also made submissions for the Brigade Banner and Website competitions, coming up with an impressive site template.

Also, since the Supreme Commander has expressed dislike for the colour scheme of the website(purple on a background of dull green - go look at the link given above), I would accept suggestions for a scheme that doesn't look like vomit.

Even better than the last report! I'm seeing a lot of exams and certifications notices arriving in my inbox and I want to keep seeing them.

Oh, something interesting that was pointed out to me by FA Fel: My latest Trivia Moderation Commendation was the 1138th award given. Good ol' THX-1138.

Since we're approaching exam times for some people, plus the holidays up ahead, I'm sure activity will relax a bit. Likewise for January - some exams there too - but I don't want to see the Brigade become a mausoleum, so try to do a little bit at least once a week.

IRC Meeting - January's IRC Meeting will be held in #galactic_empire on Undernet, on Saturday, January 6th at 18:00GMT. 6pm GMT for those of you not used to military time.

The Fall Ladders have been closed. Since the results are a bit long in the tooth, I'll just paste the link to the forum post regarding it( http://empirereborn.net/holonet/viewtopic.php?t=1995 ). Needless to say, the 2nd Brigade took most of the medals. All but one of them.

The Winter Ladders have been opened, with the addition of the FoC ladder. Go sign up for as many as you can handle and take all the medals home again in March!

JLT Sklib has become an ALT and has recieved Demon Company as his first command. It's an excellent Company for a first-timer, since it's so active.

It's been a while since my last report. Perhaps it's because I was busy with the Guard Games or maybe I'm just not as industrious as the good mister Longstreet over at the First Brigade. Ah well, at least it means this report's jammed full of goody information!

Recruitment is up, boosting our numbers. There are some people who are going to be AWOLed soon, though they won't take us below 25 again. Keep the recruitment going.

One last thing, however. I am ordering all of my subordinate COs to check that they do not include outdated information in their reports - including now-expired competitions. I've seen some reports continuing to include competitions - competitions specifically stating that their deadline were already passed!

AWOL stands for Away Without Official Leave, which is used in real militaries when a soldier or sailor leaves his post. In the GE, it's used when a member has fallen below minimum activity requirement.

This requirement is that you maintain contact with your CO every 10 days. Let it be noted that this may change in the next few days, however!

Only two positions in this Brigade are currently open to applications - Viper XO and Gorgon XO. Send your applications to ALT Jim or ALT Thot Ghor, respectively, CCing myself.

Here's the miscellaneous bit. Yesterday, Lieutenant Sklib completed a jigsaw puzzle and was very pleased, as he had been doing it for six months - the box said 2-4 years.

Outer Rim War 3 will be beginning next Saturday and continuing well into Sunday. It is a full-weekend competition which brings eight clubs together in three factions - Imperial, Rebel and Sith. We are part of the Imperial faction, with two other clubs as our allies. Information can be found at www.orw3.net and http://wiki.rebelsquadrons.org/ORW3 and I hope to see many of you in #Outerrim where I will be leading the Army in gaming activity!

-2nd Brigade-
I have opened Dauntless CO to applications. Send them to myself, with a CC to Captain Bane. The requirements are as follows:
-MUST have an email turnabout time of 24-48 hours.
-MUST be prepared to release reports every Sunday.
-GB Basic Combat Certification.
-Army Officers Exam.
-Company Leadership Exam.
-Shown activity and participation in GE-related activites.
-Include your plans for the Company - what you would do if you were accepted.

I don't care if you're a Private, Ensign or Fleet Admiral, all applications will be considered - IF they qualify for the above requirements.

The main priorities I would like members of the Second Brigade to set are:
1) Participate in ORW3.
2) Join the Combat Ladders and play a few matches.
3) Academy exams and certifications.

If you want promotions or medals, these are your best bets. We have eleven PFCs and seven LCPs, most of whom could reach LCP or CPL quite easily if they became active. In fact, several of you are right on the threshold, so just keep going!

Outer Rim War 3 will be beginning next Saturday and continuing well into Sunday. It is a full-weekend competition which brings eight clubs together in three factions - Imperial, Rebel and Sith. Well, the 2nd Brigade's participation in ORW3 looks to be much better than last weekend. However, I can virtually guarantee that the Dark Jedi Brotherhood will be furious at our complete and devastating victory this weekend. So we'll need to do just as well next weekend - even better if possible!

I am very pleased with those members of the 2nd Brigade who continue to participate in Outer Rim War III, despite fluctuating numbers. Eight members of the GE participated, with six being from the 2nd Brigade. Honestly, I would love to see all twenty-seven members there next week(Talk about an impossible dream), but what I'm seeing so far is extremely satisfying - especially since our score average is *much* higher than the DB's!

Well... we're not doing so well in ORW3 nowadays, mostly due to our predominance in Jedi Outcast, which earns less points than the Battlefront games and EaW does. Points should be rebalanced by next week, so it won't be so difficult.

Nevertheless, this week, we had only three people and twenty-five matches from the Army, all concentrated in the Second Brigade.

I don't care if you lose your matches. Just turn up and get a few matches played... after all, each ORW3 engagement lasts 39 hours. Plenty of time to get at least one(or three) played.

Unfortunately, we didn't do as well as I had hoped we would do in the Outer Rim War, but at least we gave the Sith a good lickin'. Just lean back and have a breather for the next little while and maybe brush off your graphics/fiction skills, as the Tauntaun Tussle is coming up. There's no gaming involved in this one, so anyone with a web browser can take part.

Also, you may have noticed the lack of reports past the last two weeks. I don't know what happened to Captain Bane's report, but I skipped mine mostly because of computer trouble. Would you believe I splashed eighty quids out for a new video card, only to find out that it wasn't the problem at all? I swear, sometimes I just want to find the tallest building around and toss the accursed thing off its roof.

I will be most interested to see the results of this competition. In other news, out of the nine medals awarded for the Winter Ladders, four of them were brought home by this Brigade, something that makes me very happy. Keep it up and let's see how much we can rack up in the next two rounds!
