Optional Profile Data - What do you want to see?

Some of you may have seen the Administration module "Optional Profile Data". This is one of two modules (the other being Edit Unit Data) that I'm going to be working on shortly. As it's name suggests, it is the module that will allow you to add and edit optional data. Right now the following items are being looked at for it:

Personal Starfighter Name
Biographical data (species, height, etc)
Other odds and ends

But I want to have more than just this, so I need you to tell me what you want to see! Post here with suggestions, etc.

Us Army grunts should be able to name our blasters. Ever think about a middle initial or name?

How about methods of contact other than AIM? MSN / ICQ etc?

it would be nice to add you flight group and motto, including you wings decal.

Deadly_Sinn: That's a good idea, but I'm looking for information directly related to an individual officer. A personal motto would work, though.

I suppose our profile pages could mirror ISB bios of years past, which would give us the power to throw in various character quirks and behavior patterns that we find amusing about ourselves.

Yes, that's a good one if it hasn't already been mentioned. The "ISB profile" that used to be available in the forum where you had bulleted information about yourself.

Right. That will essentially fit under "biographic data", but if you have suggestions for it that were not on the forum, I'd appreciate them.

Other contact methods - list other im programs i.e. ICQ, MSN, Y!, Skype etc

How about adding something like the old www.imperialforum.net things?
A "skill point" system, where each of us could enter stuff like "Programming in XYZ" or "Mission design" and enter our own ratings in said things.

If you really want to add something, make it searchable, too. That way we could also have the old "looking for somebody who knows how to do XYZ? Search the roster!" thing back.

Other than that I like the following ideas as well:
A little thing to upload/link pictures of yourself, your wing decal/ship markings, etc (I figure something that displays a pictured linked from somewhere else would be better to keep the bandwidth from the page down. I could host the pictures)
Also, SLs should be able to have some "flight group" thingies to play with :)
Maybe the ability for others to post comment in ones profile?

Biographical data (species, height, etc) is a nice idea, but I figure one could put that one in his/her profile in the database.

Vort suggested being able to upload pictures of oneself, which makes my just-revamped pic page obsolete. Bah. I do like the idea, though -- and I figure the pictures there can be IC, while the Pic Page's are definitely OOC.

Nonono, not "pictures of oneself", sorry I said that wrong.
Remember Syrt and his "copy/paste" of his head onto an Imperial uniform? I meant stuff like that. I think Dupuy did the same thing (Or stuff like my Forum Avater, etc).

Otherwise it would blow up the database too much, I guess. :)

Umm... okay. Well, we'll see what I get to right now. I've got Station Cadets and Section Reports in front of me right now, along with getting the rest of my modules out of beta and made public, as well as getting TC site online...

So this is rather low on the priority list.
