It is with some regret that I must announce I will be taking an extended leave over the next 60 days. Unfortunately (or fortunately if you're people that I owe money to) I've been called up to serve on a ship operating on the west coast of the US hauling chemicals and oil.
During this time, I will be out of contact with the Fleet (though if I can stumble into an internet cafe I'll try to say hello), but I do expect the Fleet to be in one piece when I return *coughLaForgecough*.
This means no parties on the Chimaera's bridge, no decorating the shield domes, no races down the corridors, nothing that is even remotely fun. Of course, no doubt I've just given you all three good suggestions of things to do while I'm gone.
I will be back in time for Thanksgiving, which I will cancel if I find you have not behaved yourselves. Remember what happened the year I cancelled Christmas...I'm sure you don't want that again.
At any rate, I am here until Tuesday at which point I will be deploying. The funny thing is, even though I complain about the "low pay" everyone I have told what my salary is has been mad at me for "making so much money". I guess it's all relative. I also get paid vacation time for when I'm home.
