Outer Sectors Chapter Eighteen: Nowhere To Turn

LT MAR was entering the Officer's lounge when he was approached by two of his pilots.

Ensign First Class Viktorov and Ensign Raven.


"Hello LT!" Raven smiled.

"So? What are our orders?" Viktorov asked.

"It look's like we have a KEIP Assignment." LT MAR answered

While the three of them walked to a table in the corner of the room , where 2LT Phatom , Ensign Jamie and the new Psi recruit Ensign Hermann waited. Raven asked , a little bit confuse.

"A KEIP? What is that?"

"A Kill Everything In Path mission assignment!"

That brought up the usual predator smile on Phantom's face

"That's my kind of mission!" She said looking at Hermann.


"Gear up! We launch in approx. 25 minutes. Hermann! You're with Jamie and me. I don't want you to break that new Toy of yours on your first mission."

"Sir , it's not my first mission!" Hermann was eager to let the other know that he was an experienced pilot. And that they could count on him.

"On a TIE Advance it is , Ensign!" LT MAR answered , sharp.

All of them stood up and left the Lounge at a good pace.

Psi Squadron launched in the darkness of space as soon as the Nemesis exited hyperspace.

It took only a few seconds for the fast TIE Advance's pilots to form up and begin their attack run.

"Nemesis! I only read TIE Bombers and Y-wing. Are you sure you need us?" LT MAR asked a little bit disappointed

"Affirmative , Psi Leader. We weren't expecting that level of opposition , but we want to be ready for anything. Plus Captain La Forge probably bugged Admiral Fel 24/7 to get his ship back ASAP." The Comm Officer replied.

"Acknoledge Nemesis. Beginning our attack run!"

MAR switched to his Squadron frequency

"Hermann! Time for pratice shooting. Take flight One lead and show us what you are capable off!" LT MAR liked to test his new pilots stress level.

"Euh... sir? Isn't that against regulation for an Ensign?" Hermann asked.

"Ensign! If I die , I won't be here to answer your dumb questions or follow regulations. And if I die ...... today. At the hands of TIE B and Y-Wings , because of you! I'll come back through the Force to kick your BUTT!" LT MAR snapped.

"Taking the lead , SIR! Target at one-one-six. Cover me!" Hermann answered without hesitation but with a little bit more pitch in his voice.

That mission prooved to be an easy one for Psi and the other Squadrons Minimal losses were achieved. And the Chimeara was back in our ranks.

MAR was particularly proud of EF Viktorov and EN Raven for the way they behaved during this battle. And took a mental note about awarding them some medals soon.

As for Ensign Hermann. MAR was now confident that he would feel at home with his Squadron and that he could fly the TIE Advance like a veterant pilot that he his.
