Change in Free Worlds plans

In the past couple of weeks I have been in contact with Zaccar, former first Emperor on the USA 24/7 server, in regard of said server.

In those weeks, a lot of problems arose. Burnout turned off the server, because he was sick of all the whining and gave command to somebody else. (For a while the future of the server was unclear, because a server can be something VERY expensive). After that was all sorted out, it didn't get better, with people still whining, server rule management very bad and countless (!) people leaving the server.
Also, the Empire there has always had problems with people not know what their jobs are.

So, I hereby announce that the GE:ER is leaving the USA 24/7 server for those reasons!

The dialogue with Zaccar went very well and we are now playing on the Hyperion RPG server! The server is on the server list in Free Worlds and the URL adress for their web presence is www.hyperion-rpg.net .
If you want to play there, please remember to do the following:
1.) Unless you are on the list (see below), you HAVE to play a civilian until I can get you set up on the Imperial faction list. Use either no tag or a [CIV]tag for your character.
2.) Once you are on the server, you HAVE to sign up on the servers forum and make a post describing yourself on their "Authority of personal statistics" - to make sure that your character does not get deleted.

I already set up everything for the following people to join as [IMP]s right away (the names following are the names you have to use - I figured you used them before, so I might as well....):

If you can't find one let me know, I might be able to get you a copy.

Perhaps i'll drop by the new server. Are we starting from scratch or is there a base there already that will allow us to requisition ships and equipment?

There's about 30 people (almost 40 with the 8 from our old faction) in the Empire on that server. :-)

It looks like we will have to kickstart activity on that server, seeing how it is basically dead right now, even though there are many registered players.

We have quite a number of people from the GE (nearly 10 I think) and two or three who often played with me and would like to join. If we could *all* play together at one point for a few hours and do that more often, other people would see that on the "How many people are online" screen on the server select and the webpage. That way we would be passively promoting activity on the server, while earning money or training combat.

If it is, they are doing squat on it. According to Morg it is, though. However, I haven't seen more than two imperials other than us GE:ER people and those were Emperor Zaccar and his RL girlfriend.

Does this server have restrictions on vessel ownership as well? If we're going to be making all this money it would be nice to purchase a few uber ships.

I guess it is time to make this server our "own". ;-)

I don't think the EH is doing anything on this server anymore, so we might as well, by lots of activity there.

@Wedge:
From what I know, we get enough points per new Imperial player to all get Ã¼berships (points are used by the imperial leaders to "pay" for the right of Ã¼berships).

Most of us are already flying Assault Gunboats and both Steel and I are flying Container Transports (biggest transporters), thus we are able to make millions per hour (something like 6 millions/h, IIRC).
