My brother basicly trained me on numpad after I was using default then he switched to default and I have been slowly reverting to default. He's almost never home nowadays so I don't worry about my save game files.

I used to play Quake II on numpad and it gets so annoying after a short time, I do not understand why people change from the standard ASWD layout, especially since it seems to be the proven superior. :P

Yeah, I've got a basic WASD setup now (like moving crouch from C to Ctrl) that I try to get in every game, but for the most part I'm trying to cope with minimal changes from the defaults.

Yeah, same here.
I tend to make my own little adjustments because I got so used to them (R always = reload, e always = use/open door, spacebar = jump, etcetc).
Annoys the hell out of me when I play a game where I can only adjust 10 buttons or so.

I used to use right-click for jump, and middle for the alt-fire/special function, it just gave me better control. But that's another thing I'm slowly converting away from. The only game I play 100% defaults is Raven Shield, and the Splinter Cell series.
