YOGEME 1.0 Released
That's right, after 4 years of development, I've finally gotten to the point where I can stamp "1.0" on [link=http://idmr.empirereborn.net/utilities.php?page=yogeme]YOGEME[/link] and release it into the wild.
TIE, XvT and XWA are all fully functional and you can SaveAs from and to any platform. There are some limits, but I believe this is the first time one can save an XWA mission as TIE.
There's a help file finally, it points out a couple things that may not be obvious.
I know given the state of the GE this may not get much use, but at least I can say I finished it, dammit. :P

Congrats indeed! Whatever the GEs state may be your time and your efforts are bearing fruit.
Now just try to find people to use it!

ha, ha, ha! Demons ... 4 years.
And now that It will serve if I can not kill rebels (officially, at least). Excellent work, Jag .. but I have a concern .... What you do now? There are a lot of work with the new platforms, but now the Empire is closed for other activities (officials). Hope you do not die of boredom.
Greetings, my friend, and also to those who occasionally appear here.
Now we'll see .... who knows .... the Empire could attack again .... (The Empire Strikes Back)

Because I was in college when I started it, and then got a full-time job after graduation. I am not a professional programmer, I'm a Mechanical Engineer by trade and am entirely self-taught. I am the only person working on IDMR projects.
I work on my various programming projects in my spare time, and this was a very ambitious project in its own right. Several things had to be reverse-engineered before programming could even begin, not to mention everything is written from scratch.
As time went on I learned better ways to code or approach certain things, so there were multiple rewrites of various portions of code. I eventually also had to figure out how to support modern 64-bit installations, as this originally was built for normal 32-bit XP installs, and TIE-XWA install differently these days.
Could it have been done faster? Of course. Could it have been done a lot faster? Sure, but at the cost of my social and professional life. I don't get paid to do this, and there are some days where I just can't stare at the screen anymore.
