Okay Anderson....

Gears of War was fun, but it was not unique. I am sorry, it has nothing to stick out. Some would say Lost Planet is superior do to its the same format but you have the constant fear of dying of cold (a permanent damage over time).

Mind you before you point out that I only like old games, I own Gears of War 1 on my 360 and am half way to 'Seriously' and am on the University level of the game.

Sadly kids these days think games that come out currently are the best when very often there clones of another game or just a compilation of aspects of other games.

People who praise Halo for instance consider it to have invented the aspects they play.

Flying vehicles and ground vehicles for instance. Long before Halo they were prevalent in Star Siege: Tribes, Command and Conquer: Renegade, and Unreal.

Its like the final fantasy fanatic kids who have only played crisis core and when asked have no idea what ruby and emerald weapon is. What they are is masochism. Oh and its Aerith Gainsborough not Aeris Gainsborough.

I am not flaming you Anderson, just giving a honest view of things.

well i might not have the brightest armour in the Imperial army but at least i am sane to an extent

Tione: it's true that many games are clones of past games (in fact, other than the earth moving tricks and 3rd person view, Fracture is literally the same in game controls as Halo)

But games are comprised of more than just the style of gameplay. It's the story too. That is why I liked Halo. The gameplay was not really unique, but the story was fantastic...at least in my perspective.

I did make a list of my top 20 games once. Can't find it now unfortunely. But this is an interesting thread even if I'm reviving it a bit to late. I have not been in in this forum in a really long time tough ;). I will forget something but here goes a top 20 of my favorite games *not* best games, that is for the world to unite, fail to unite and fight over. :p

I have a few favorite games for 360, but for PC it would be:
Rome Total War (would be MTW 2 but can't run it)
- mod: NTW

Empire Earth

Hearts of Iron: Doomsday
-mod: 1914

But I don't have many Star Wars game for PC or 360 so I guess SWGB Saga, Empire at War and Republic Commando.

@MGN Antilles: No I have not, right now I have little space on our PC, obviously, it is not installed right now and even then our internet sucks so It'd probably be slow and would suck.

@Wolfe: My brother has been playing EaW like crazy lately, pretty funny, I used to love it but now I got my 360(which I have to take 'cause the bugger isn't working)

It is a very interesting game indeed - but even with the updates it is running so slow, so extremely jerking that itÂ´s hard to have fun; and IÂ´m playing with Saudi Arabia!

Then I guess you need a PC with more RAM and a better CPU. Works fine on my C2D 3GHz with 4GB. ;P
