1st Brigade Motto Competition

My dear Brigade,

feeling the urgent need for a new motto for the 1st Brigade IÂ´m hereby starting a motto competition again.

The rules are as strict as they are simple. Every soldier of the 1st Brigade is allowed to send in as many ideas for a motto as he wants - provided he sends them in a single email to myself. All submissions must be in english; and though itÂ´s no definite need youÂ´re clearly encouraged to attach the reason why you took the said ideas. Remember we are a military unit, think for something suiting.

Submissions are to be made till June the 4th, giving you 12 days; with winning submission (if any) will be announced at the 7th of June. Winner will be awarded a [MoM].

You see another easy way to constribute and get a medal. So easy that I expect everyone to send in some ideas!

My dear Brigade,

I sadly have to say that I got gigantic ONE submissions for the brigade motto; and this one not suiting in my view. For this reasons the competition is hereby ended.

YouÂ´ll also note that despite said situation the brigade motto has changed to "Glory in Battle - Honor in War". Think about it!

While appreciated it doesnt make me feel appreciated. I have worked hard for weeks and I have been member of the week each week since you started that and honestly I do NOT feel appreciated.

that feels sarcastic, I have done obscene amounts of work and the rest of the Brigade has done not much except report in. I just honestly dont feel appreciated. Why should I keep killing myself to do activity?

whatever you may think sarcasm is not my intetion. As this bord is public IÂ´d advise you to stop talking here about said feelings and to check your mail instead.

Colonel, I think we could show more appreciation for the lieutenant's effort than simply saying it's expected... that could be considered insulting...

Just out of curiosity, are you unsatisfied by the current motto? If so, being the small time writer that I am, I could try and think of something, sir. If you'd like me to, I just send me a message if you'd please, I'd be happy to help, sir.
