For one never create a quote for me again like that Lieutenant. I am not amused.
Secondly, how different is this than every other Lucasarts game everyone hold oh so dear. Every single FPS and Third person has no real free-roam environment but a linear path you have to follow to complete the mission. Every single one is pretty much you kill things, you have some force powers, but its still a scripted environment where Lucas requires you to use force powers at certain times whether you want to or not. And in this one you get no blaster and amped up force powers. And still this is nothing like Episode III. Episode III was basically a side-scrolling arcade game so scripted you could not even use force jump without standing on a bubble. The environment was so linear you basically had a 8 foot wide path to continue going on at all times. You had force push, pull, and one special power and nothing else of any substance. If you feel that that is just like Force Unleashed then I have no idea what your problem is.
And what is this insane amount of hype you keep refering too? The only way I new of this game was an issue of GameInformer and lucasarts.com after I read that. I have 7 stores of the GameStop Inc in my area and not a single one had a sign for it even the few days before it came out. Only Wal Mart of all of our big box stores had a sign up and that was a week before it came out and that was a cardoard thing that fits over their theft detectors which they do for almost every game coming out. I saw on the games' website they had tv spots but I never saw one of them on the tv. I watched them on their website and they were accurate to me considering I could do exactly what was in the tv spots. Which is also pretty bad for them considering Mercenaries 2 managed to get in so often that I was seeing its tv spot sometimes twice a commercial break on every commercial break. They also had some blog style clips with a guy from some channel I don't know which either G4 or Spike I assume. I only watched a two of them and they proved accurate as well to the gameplay. So from what I can find wheres the bullshit you seem to have been fed before you played it.
As for the powers as you said before. There is no charged force push in Episode III. All you can do is alittle push thing the size of your hand and thats it. Charged push is something new and can be blasted across a whole room. I don't remember chained lightining in either sounds like something from my roommates Warcraft. I do remember force lightining in Episode III being not much targeting one enemy at a time and the force unleashed one is one at a time and upgradeable to all enemies in the area. But then again how much can you really change that, lightining is lightining its been the same in every game. Levitating a crate and smushing a person with it. Again, if you come up with some creative new way of doing that activity its kind of a hard thing to change. Force grip is grip kinda hard to add a fun and exciting pizazz to that. They tried to by letting you grap up to two and three items/enemies at a time and thats it.
For fighting Jedi bosses. I remember in Episode III fighting Grevious, Temple swordsman but I dont count him as a boss to easy, and Obi Wan. Which is pretty required considering that is what happens in the movie and book. In Jedi Academy most levels I remember had you fighting your way to a boss. Jedi Outcast had the crazy chick boss, crazy moff/admiral boss, and lizard guy boss. Its a pretty standard format. Your a jedi hunter in this for the first half so obviously your fighting your way to the jedi you want to kill. And from one of the webdocs I watched it is supposed to be a boss with more force powers. And I kinda got the feel that this is going to be a more standard format because its more realistic to the strength and abilities of a Jedi Master.

Wrong. As you upgrade it, it gets much bigger. Say, the upgrading of Force powers, health/Force pool and buying combos...isn't that also exactly like Episode III? And wait, the whole Sith Flurry combo part of TFU where you pause for a second after hitting attack before hitting it again, which does the Flurry? The same as EpIII! As for jump, it's pretty much the same deal in TFU - ie, the jumping feels like suck.COL Nexant wrote:There is no charged force push in Episode III. Chained lightning is when it is chained between more than one person. In EpIII it can do up to three people at a time if they're close to each other, and in TFU you hold Y (or whatever button it is on your console of choice) to target multiple people. Hey, look, they do the same thingCOL Needs A Dictionary wrote:I don't remember chained lightining in either sounds like something from my roommates Warcraft.

Do you often prove people's points for them? The fact that this game offers precisely zilch in the way of anything we haven't seen before is exactly why I say it's mediocre and doesn't live up to the hype. Cheers!COL James Obvious wrote:But then again how much can you really change that, lightining is lightining its been the same in every game. Levitating a crate and smushing a person with it. And there was much RAAAAAGEing as the Force Unleashed developers announced this or that... like when they came out and said it wasn't going to be available on the PC, thereby depriving SW clubs from a new platform.

I'm just going to give you a heads up Erinos, I tried this same shtick with Jag soon after I joined, did not work out so well. Pissing off people who've been around a while doesn't work to your advantage.Xayun Erinos wrote:Wrong.

People, just leave it. Xayun will always bitch about everything and anything he sees fit to. That's what he does. HC knows that and that's why they haven't kicked him out, yet

I like it. Xay: Permission granted to continue bitching. Or stating the truth. Whichever angle you want see this from. :P

Remember in 300, where they had that awesome bit with the guy judging all the babies, and if they weren't up to the Spartan Standard they got thrown in the pit with all the other rejects? I think this just goes to show Glendon would have been out of luck there
Oh yeah, and it's "source of", not "source in". Are you sure this "source in the decline" isn't a little closer to home?

While I normally would go and utterly destroy whatever form of an enlarged, cancerous, self-bloating ego you have, I have more things to do than debate with a fool; all it will do is bring me down to your level where your experience there will suffice.Xayun Erinos wrote:Remember in 300, where they had that awesome bit with the guy judging all the babies, and if they weren't up to the Spartan Standard they got thrown in the pit with all the other rejects?
