Time to resignate

I was thinking about this since over one month yet I must admit that I was too inert to write it down. Vort however explained most of it better than I am willing to and this saves me time writing my resignation. So aside from his points I will add my personal ones.

Captainship was never my thing. I took this place because I thought that it would give me a bigger power to change things. I was wrong, I have just as much power as a LT does. Recognising this, I eaegered to end my days as a simple Ensign doing the thing that made me join the GE: fly, compete. As such I might have had a chance to motivate other pilots by giving them an example. So I asked Pol to demote me to Ensign once the Fleet gets diminuished to a compact force. But I donÂ´t think this would work either.

The real background of my decision is however my pilot, sports spirit. Without the chance of flying I wouldnÂ´t be here. ThatÂ´s why I joined and thatÂ´s the real motivation behind me. As I often said, the XWA is dead as well as XvT. People will try not to play it, will find the biggest excuses not to play it and a few canÂ´t really play it because it simply wonÂ´t run.
For me it is almost impossible to find a pilot that can really pose a threat, let alone win a match against me. I start a match and I already know its outcome. Worser even, mostly I wonÂ´t even be fighting with my full skills.

I even went to the EH two years ago so that I could find someone, to challenge, someone that would offer me a decent fight. In vain.
After that, I simply went on. Searching anyone to fight with, no matter who.

Ok, I can live with this one or two years but after eventually I myself lost interest in the game. I thought this would never happen but it did.
As such, the only thing that remains is the GE members. But for that I donÂ´t need to be a member. The IRC is always there and I keep visiting it, as always.

Despite having lost my interest, I may teach a few pilots every now and then. If they catch me on the right moment. Other than that, I am done with XWA & Co. At least until LA releases an equal, newer game.

And in this sense, I fill my request to resign.

Damn... we just lost our best pilot. I have battled this guy and he is one of the best out there. Its a same to lose one good officer, and a big pain to lose two.

I Know you can beat me sir, but i'm allways up for a duel with you.

Hmm. Another good official us goes away.
It was an honor to be to yours orders, Steel. I hope that you should have understood this. Our club is not only to play, also it is to support contact with other persons, and also to realize a game style Role Playing, in whom, many officials we were to yours orders. I hope that you should have appreciated it, and the importance that you had.
I would like to see it inside the GE, in the position that you wish. It is always good to maintain contact with persons so appreciated as you.

Nor did I. Sometimes people end up leaving groups like this one, it's just how things work out. Yes, I will admit that we are in need of good members at this point and that it is not a good time to lose them, but he does have his reasons for leaving and they are quite valid.

So Steel, I salute you one last time, and would like to end by saying that you have done and excellent job in your position. Best of luck with everything.

I agree with EF Russel. LC Steel, I salute for having the courage to take command, and the bravery to step down from that command. We won't find another leader like you, sir. If I ever find XWA, I'd like to play you, but I'd lose since I play best at XvT.
