I shall have to go LOA from May 13-21. I shall be on a field study in the great state of Wisconsin enjoying the second oldest mountain range in the world and then I shall be driving home to Louisiana right after that so I will not have access to my computer as it will be in my trunk the whole time.

Field study? What's your area of expertise?

Geomorphology-Mostly fluvial, glacial, and weathering, not so much with hill-slope. Never was really interested in studying mud and rocks getting pulled down a hill by gravity.

I've got 6 hours now to pack my room and move out before my school gets moody. Wisconsin was enlightening and all the rock climbing was burning. Burning muscles, skin burning all kinds of it.
But I did manage to cart off a quartzite rock with close to 750 million years of tectonic history used to make all the little lines in it. The part of Wisconsin I retrieved it from dates it roughly to before the Pangea super continent so I am impressed with myself in my find.
With it being the hardest rock on earth where you need a diamond saw to cut it I did managed to quite easily slash my palm on another rock while slipping on a ledge. So I barely look forward to holding a car steering wheel the next three days. But I do look forward to an antique market along the way where I acquire WW2 items and Soviet items.
I should be packing though so I shall go and you will hear from me in roughly three days. Adios!

I return! Tired and triumphant I did not manage to kill myself driving 1000 miles. A couple almosts though...

I am going to be LOA again from Wednesday to Saturday or Sunday that would be August 20-23/24. I have to drive back to my last year of college and I will have no connection whatsoever. Back at college and now that I finished my internship today I plan to resume the regular reports.
