Emperor's Court lays the smackdown

Contrary to popular belief, the Emperor's Court actually does have some work to do - unfortunately. This past week a trial was held over case S-00002: The Galactic Empire vs. Lance Corporal Cardie. Note how cool that sounds as long as you are on the Empire's side. So, don't break the laws you crazy kids!

The Lance Corporal was charged with thirteen (13) counts of False Statements on the grounds of reporting ladder matches between himself and his clone, Private First Class Zhan. Ladder matches that, obviously, didn't happen, seeing how you can't play against yourself. D'oh.

Most likely due to the fact that the evidence brought forward was as clear as crystal in broad daylight, the Lance Corporal pleaded guilty - something the Emperor's Court (yours truly) could nothing but agree with. As such he was formally found to be guilty and was sentenced to incarceration for three (3) months effective as of Jan 10, 2008.

Oh yeah - that means his status on the roster is now "inactive" and y'all are not supposed to talk to, chat with, mail or otherwise contact him during that time. Ever. If you, for some reason, considered marrying him - think again. He's been caught cheating, after all. :P

Here's to all you little cheating bastards out there: Don't even think about it. My minio-... umm... I mean the fine gentlemen that run the Empire will find you, trace you and hunt you down to throw you into the dust before the IRON THRONE! And when you look up to that throne, you'll see that I'm your judge. And you don't want that to happen, for I AM THE LOR-... hmm... okay, I might have gotten carried away a little there. More fair trial, less self-apotheosis... with you now.

Anyway, don't cheat. It sucks and is stupid. You don't want to suck and be stupid, do you?

Btw - keep an eye out for the next trial. It seems we may have another Emperor's Court Trial Deathmatch coming your way. Stay tuned.

Is that a specific Iron Throne, or a generic one? If you're referring to a specific Throne, I might be interested in talking to you about that.

Yeah, like the guy who imagines wild stuff, all I can say is don't cheat. I've seen the evidence behind this case... there just isn't any way to get around the system. Quite foolproof.

Kudos to Fel and the coding team on that.

Calder: The comment certainly was in reference to a very specific iron throne. One that people were frequently called to KNEEL BEFORE. Yes, in all-caps. :P

The throne is composed mainly of tin-foil, an old car bonnet and some spanners.

The interesting part of the job is that punishment is dished out with the Sceptre of Painful Consequence -->
