1st Brigade´s Bato Competition

Gentlemen,

the 1st Brigade is in need of a new banner and a new motto, so this is what this small competition is all about. I´ll state the rules as clearly as I can.

Time for sending in submissions: till 25th of October.
Elligable to participate is: all Army personal beside General Officers
Allowed number of submissions: is as many as you want.
Award is: an [IVM-BB] for each of the two areas.
Submissions must be sent to: me! ( FriederLeimenstoll@gmx.de )

rules for the banner:
- must contain a version of the Imperial Seal
- must contain a written version of "1st Brigade"
- no Latin
- if Aurabesh is used it must also be written normal
- standart size of our banners (500x200 pixels)

rules for the motto:
- no Latin
- part or whole of a sentence
- no bullshit


Sounds easy? It is! It would be nice to finally see some activity here. Everyone should be able to think of a few possible mottos and shouldn´t hesitate to send them as they might build the winning one. Everyone who doesn´t send in a banner despite having a bit of free time should think about an easier way to gain medals here and send me this thoughts. Everyone who has enough time and a bit of like for graphics should at least try to make a banner. As often said it isn´t that difficult to gain some medals, and if you get such a good chance as here you should use it.

It´s great with new competitions, it´s too sad I can´t participate.
I really can´t come up with any banners that hasn´t already been used, and all mottos just sound cliche to me.
Still, I think we need a new banner and motto, so best luck to whoever gives it a try.

Who sais that you can´t take part because no clue?

You have about 3 weeks, think about it and invent something that you think could fit even without beeing too much of this chile-thing. Use your brain; could help!

Just make up something. The tiniest mote of an idea is often enough for a perfectionist CO to make something out of. I've edited some motto submissions in my time, before using them.

I had 'Steak-Seafood-Sushi' as one of the submissions for 2nd Brigade, you know. Seriously.

It is indeed. The lion-sentence is used by far too many on far too many occasions and the second one is too long for a motto (but you could use it as part of imperial poetry and send it in when the call for submissions for the next newsletter is there).

Gentlemen,

there are still about 4 days left for submissions for the Bato competition. The number of participants is damn low for now, so every officer who takes part is doing on good chances.

The things asked for are not much, and as you need to be active due to the Annual Review anyway I can only advice you to take part here, too.

Gentlemen,

the deadline for the Bato Competition was reached and the results were made up.

The results were sad, as the number of participants reached 2. From those 2 participants only one was an active officer; one officer from the 34 eligible officers. A number that is a catastrophe.

For this fact I award ALT Dawe, the ONLY active officer who took part, a Letter of Commendation.

The other officer who took part is Mister Hyde, Lance Corporal of the Reserve. He sent in a banner which will be used for now as banner of the 1st Brigade.



As member of the reserve he´s not eligible for full participation or the awards of the [IVM-BB], which would be the reward for the winning banner.

But he has my biggest thanks; and the fact that a reserve officer has done more than 33 active officers should give us something to think about.
