<VA_JagFel> 1) Summer Ladders Start Delayed
<VA_JagFel> No doubt many of you have noticed that the summer ladders have been somewhat delayed in their start. The reason for this delay may now be made clear to you, as it follows from the second announcement:
<VA_JagFel> 2) Spring Ladder Results Delayed
<VA_JagFel> The item holding up the summer ladders is held over from the spring ladders. Unfortunately, in the spring ladders, some cheating was observed, and as such the end of the ladder and the ladder reset have been delayed until all has been cleared up. However, this leads me to my third item:
<VA_JagFel> 3) The Conviction of Ensign Bramall
<VA_JagFel> Following on the reports of cheating, an Imperial Security Bureau investigation was carried out, and this ultimately resulted in the laying of 47 charges against Ensign Bramall and his clones.
<VA_JagFel> Mr. Bramall was convicted on all counts, and as such his illegitimate ladder victories will be stripped, and Lord Syrtaras has seen fit to sentence him to six months incarceration at an Imperial Penal Facility.
<VA_JagFel> On that account, he will be removed from the rosters, and any contact with him constitutes a breach of his conviction and should be reported to your division commander immediately.
<VA_JagFel> 4) Improved Anti-Cheat Measures added to the Ladders
<VA_JagFel> In part due to the nature of the above items, new anti-cheat facilities were added to the ladders to provide us with better tools to detect if and when cheating is occurring. Rest assured that neither Lord Syrtaras nor I will allow any cheating on the ladders to go unpunished...
<VA_JagFel> 5) Re-opening of the Ladders
<VA_JagFel> As the items above are now effectively taken care of, the Summer ladders will be opening soon, just as soon as the processing of the previous set is completed. At that point you will receive the appropriate e-mails containing the medal awards and a notice that the ladders are indeed again functional.
<VA_JagFel> 6) New Procurator of Justice and Ambassador
<VA_JagFel> As you have surely read, Mr. Syrtaras has returned to active duty in the capacity of both Imperial Ambassador and the Procurator of Justice. It is indeed unfortunate that he has had to already oversee a General Court Martial... If you haven't already done so, please welcome Lord Syrtaras back!
<VA_JagFel> 7) Site Updates
<VA_JagFel> A few minor site updates went into effect last week, almost exclusively to fix minor issues with the site. It is also my pleasure to announce that Admiral Polanski has been working on an updated design for the EmpireReborn.net domain, and though it is not yet ready, it will begin testing soon. Keep your eyes open for the announcement!
<VA_JagFel> 8) Imperial Webmail
<VA_JagFel> As announced earlier, if you have an @empirereborn.net e-mail address, you can now use the Imperial Webmail ( http://www.empirereborn.net/mail ) to check your GE mail using a web browser. Once again, this is only applicable if you have an @empirereborn.net e-mail.
<VA_JagFel> 9) Messageboards Upgrades
<VA_JagFel> Since the last meeting, I have also taken some time to perform updates to the CBACK/ORION software that powers the GE Messageboards. Likewise, Governor Vortagh did the same on the Imperialsquadrons.net messageboards. We advanced through several minor revisions, which will hopefully address any minor issues anyone may have had.
<VA_JagFel> 10) Database Maintenance
<VA_JagFel> Database maintenance also took place this month, which succeeded, but unfortunately did not bring the improvement in performance expected. Rest assured that the Imperial Coding Team is working to improve the situation.

<VA_JagFel> 1. Current Navy membership is 60 (-1) Officers, with 22 (-9) Cadets in the Academy.

<VA_JagFel> 2. We have a new ship active in the Fleet! The FRG Typhoon has entered active service for the Empire at War platform under the leadership of LT Selden.

<VA_JagFel> 3. Unit commanders, please ensure that the officers under your command are actually active and present. I don't like AWOLing an entire unit in a single shot, make sure you keep on them.

<VA_JagFel> 4. Activity at the ICTEs have been rather low, save for a few dedicated officers. After the last meeting, CL Mar was All-Star for the 6/2 event. Congratulations!
