Very interesting, yet excellently wrote (or typed?).

Well, when do you expect the next part is gonna come out?

Very funny. And I thought Lieutenant Commander Longstreet was a confusing instructor at the Academy…

If I get it done quickly, Chapter 1 will be submitted before I go on LOA on Jul 26th or so (am drafting it furiously at the moment). Then, school starts very soon afterwards, so time may not be in my favor, who knows? But thanks for your input, sir!

Maybe it's time I dusted off some of my old stuff. I don't think you young guys read any of my things. Some fiction, lots of treatises on Imperial doctrine and the like. It was pretty well received "back in the day".

This would be a good contribution to the Library of Epsilon. If you can, sir, send to me some of his works, or the links to the pages where they are published.
Thank you.

And it is done!
I encourage everyone to check out my additions to the General Archives http://databank.empirereborn.net/index. ... alArchives
I added the "Treatises on Imperial Strategy" and a piece of fiction that I had gotten about half done (though it's still 20 pages). Let me know what you think.

Yes, I read it. Very well written, though I would have to defend General Rala's professional reputation in regards to how he came to be the ISB General.
That said, I'm sure you'll take note of some of his other...uh...idiosynchrocies when you read "Duty Calls".

I don't know a whole lot of Rala's back history. I just needed a little something to bring a little extra edge to Solidis's character.
The story has some parallels so Conrad's "Heart of Darkness", so Rala may have some more little quirks in his makeup after a few months on Dagobah surrounded by bounty hunters and little green creatures...

If you want some of General Rala's backstory, you can ask the General himself, or glean bits of personality from my writing. He's generally jovial, has a good sense of humor, is very loyal to his friends, is a dependable officer, and is extremely fond of a certain baked good....

MMMM....donuts...I'm reading Duty Calls right now, so I know about that. Unfortunately, the Rala of Old is dead, now that his mind is warped on Dagobah. Or is it??? So, his personality as you know does not necssarily transfer to this story...maybe he just goes nuts because there aren't any donuts on Dagobah. Who knows? As of now, nobody knows if he's even alive, right?

All this stuff about writing has motivated me. I started a new piece called "Nothing Special" (basically because as of right now, it's just going to be myself and other senior officers doing whatever it is we do, albeit in a humorous fashion). The first couple pages are up on the Archives.
