The riots or the Celebration Europe event? The later has a somewhat fixed date, it seems... :P

Why the Northern Irish didn't riot when you were there, however, is totally beyond me. :P

I'm a bit confused, isn't this exhibition on for quite a long time, was this just a special event though?

The Exhibition is at City Hall for a long time yes.
Celebration Europe is the eu version of the conventions held in the US (Celebration I,II,III,IV etc)...
