ISD Chimaera First Officer Found!

Captain Laithlis has informed me that he has (already) found a new first officer!

I am happy to announce the return of Sayrah "Schnapps" Mikfarlant - commonly known as Say - to the rank of Commander and the first officer position aboard the flagship. She will take command on June 1, in accordance with Wing Commander Muscat's intended stand-down date.

Say was a long-serving member of the very famous Victory Star Destroyer Striker several years ago, and she was indeed once captain of the Striker... More recently, however, she was a member of the civil sector (Star Wars Galaxies) and has been a reserve since the closing of the civil sector.

I am certain that Say will do an excellent job of working with Line Captain Laithlis, and will make a great first officer. Please give her a hearty welcome back to active duty!

In addition, Say has one further announcement for us: There is a new method of discipline being introduced on the flagship. For those of you who remember the Omicron Sharp Stick, allow me to present its successor, the new Imperial Superweapon: The Chimaera Blunt Prod!

The CBP is displayed by System Governor Vortagh.

Slackers beware! Neither Say nor the Prod knows any mercy.

They plied me with schnapps and made me an offer I couldn't refuse, in the best traditions of the Imperial Navy.

It is good to be back, though it will be very strange serving *under* Laith! Sorry, I mean to say Line Captain Laithlis . . . they grow up so fast!

I'll just be hanging around and getting to know the crew until Friday. After that, let's see where the wind takes us.

Reisig means "fire starter". The correct German word is Zweig

It's the Chimaera, Admiral. I'm quite sure Commander Jamie did in fact mean "fire starter." The ship has a history to maintain now, you know.

A) Actually, I wrote that document;
B) It was meant for IRC; and
C) Fel is Supreme Commander and can dance naked on the bodies of dead ewoks while chanting native Tatooine Sun prayers if he wants, much less talk in German.
