Well, these are the things I need:

1. I need to learn CGI animtation. Can someone teach me everything about it?

2. I need to have people look at and reveiw the rough copy of the storyboards, so that it may be perfected to become the final version.

And I think that's about it for now. I have some of the storyboards already done, And I have an extensive collection of sound files from EAW. I also have alot of SW music too.

I also found a site that deals with alot of tutorials and how-to's for Star Wars fan films:

With those tutorials, I can get the work done correctly.

Yes and no. People use the sound files from EAW in a whole bunch of mods used in many SW games. I have also heard them in fan films.

We have nothing to worry about.

Just because other people have done it doesn't mean it's legal. Plenty of people smoke marijuana - doesn't make it legal.

Using the sound clips is no different than using video from a legal standpoint.

Munro, I have to say, you don't overlook anything.

Well, to clear up a few things:

1. There is 'The Official Star Wars Fan Film Awards' that states you can do just about anything for a fan film, as long as it is entered into the Awards. Here is the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Offici ... ilm_Awards

Now my movie is perfectly legal, all I have to do is enter it once it is completed.

2. Where else and how else am I supposed to get authentic sounds for my SW movie? I f not from either games or movies, where then?

3. Copyrighted, yes, it is. But the awards let you use the sounds anyway. They arn't too picky on some of the stuff. I read the rules on the official Star Wars site. They even have SW production kits.

I think as long as you don't do anything commercial with it, or publicly air it, I think it's fine.

Wrong. A myth that most people believe and that actually makes sense, but entertainment industries beg to differ (because they don't make sense). Also I would never trust anything on the likes of the "fair use" rule.

Lately it has been prooven that "fair use" is based on whatever the media industrie believes they think it is right this moment.

Colestock: If there's anything you'd want to ask me about moviemaking, be it prop making, animation, special fx, foley, equipment or scriptwriting, feel free to ask.

However, I cannot help you in person other than this, simply because I have enough to do with my own movie(s). Writing a good script (at least according to the few people I showed it to) for my 20 minute cyberpunk movie, took me several weeks of basic storyline, discussing it with said friends, explaining scenes etc, changing parts they deemed not good enough, etc.

Ah ok, but that's how I assumed fanfilms were allowed to do what they do, why people are allowed to make their own personal stormtrooper uniforms, why George lucas even chose a favourite from the fanfilms etc, which he wouldn't do if it was illegal!
