Gentlemen,

this is the Brigade-report for the last week. As this is he first report I´ll give short explanations about it´s format.


NEWS

HC
Everything about our beloved High Command.

- FA Polanski has resigned his position of Supreme Commander and continues his service at the rank of AD on the Yaga Minor Shipyard.

- By his announcement the new SC is no other then Fleet Admiral Tiberius Fel.

- Leaving his position of CON empty, VA Jagged Fel has been given the position.

- Following this the position of TC has become vacant, and to fill this position CL Wedge has been promoted to Commodore.

Special
Everything about the topics I see as special.

- Following this chain reaction the position of Nemesis-CO has been granted to CL Mar. He is a most dedicated officer and I have complete trust in his service in this position.

- Due to the strange disappearance of Colonel Nexant and Captain Pressor the 2nd Brigade has been ripped of any it´s command. So to avoid this dilemma our dear Major Burton, commanding Raider-Company, has been promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and given the position of BRG-CO in the 2nd. Where I now am in the position to be without any company-commanders, and especially without this one, I know no better officer for this position, and am sure that he is able to keep this brigade up.

Company-COs who are not there

I know there are non today. The deadline for applications is the 15th, so we´ll have some in a short time. Till then you have to live without them, means Raider directly under my command and Spearhead under command of JTL Kevin.

Brigade-XO

At this times we are lacking of members in all ranks, and even more lacking are active members. We only have 2 companies staffed right now, and those not complete. So from numbers and amount of work I think that we´re not in need for a Brigade-XO right now. Of course when time goes on and we´re growing, hopefully in nearer future, I´ll reopen this position.

Admin-System

How often does it happen that someone is out of contact, and some weeks later you get a mail saying that he was on leave for whatever. I think to send a mail about this before leaving is one thing needed, but to something else. We have this device called Admin-System on the GE-page. Every officer can get a password without problems and has acces. Within the system there is a module to state the date of leave. So when someone of the Brigade is on leave, no matter why, no matter if it´s 2 days or 2 weeks, I want you to use the module. Don´t let the others in the dark, ok?!

Finally!

MB

For years and years of service the MB was and is the greatest base of information and contact beside the mail for me, all other communication-platforms rank behind it. There are people from all divisions, units and ranks there, so a constant flow of thoughts and a huge bunch of important, interesting and usefull stuff. But when I look on it I see only very few people from the 1st Brigade there, and this should not be.

Within this organisation contact can´t be rated too high, so MB can´t be rated too high. So I can just advice you to build up a presence there. Never wrong to be present if you want to have a promotion, hm?

Member of the Week

This is new here in the Brigade as a special category, but through seeing several active people here
etc. I´ll restart this tradition that is/was done in many units, including my old Gimel-Squadron. The
system is clear, the one I choose as member of the week by activity, certain single actions, impressive
thoughts etc. will be listed here, and if someone has been mentioned 4 times he can be sure to get a
special reward in form of, well, think on your own.

It´s nice to see an XO here again, and I hope that Pharaxes will help not only to keep,
but to raise, the activity in our Brigade.

Maybe some people may ask “Why is he writing present on mail for some people, and Email for
others?” The answer is clear. If I write “Email” then the person has been reported in a report or
specific mail to be in mail-contact with his CO, so something I´m told. If I write “active on mail”
then I definitly know that the person is doing so, because I´d contact with them myself or have
a certain event that makes clear that it was the case. I don´t need to say that I´m much happier
to be able to write “active on mail” then to write “Email”, do I?

Holidays are near, Christmas for most, free time for all. You have free time? Good! As you´ll
notice the current list of competitions and other events is huge. You´ll also notice that the
difficulty in this competitions have not increased. Use the time you have to do something,
and if you want to do something useful – take part in those competitions.

Contact with COs
If you are not in contact with your company-leaders, and/or are not
able to establish contact, then contact me. It´s not acceptable to be
without contact here, so don´t let this happen.

Reports and details
I always say to CPT Felth and ALT Kevin that I want more details of your activities in the reports.
To be true only seldom I see any there. Maybe this also is because your COs don´t know all what
you´ve done. So if this is the case, please when you´re reporting to them try to mention what
you´ve done; every SW-gaming, every SW-book, every education into Military and every deeper
thought about the GE should be noted.

Again the good old MB
Gentlemen, the MB is there to be used, and that not only for fresh Ensigns of the Navy, from whom
there are plenty there. Use it, it´s a usefull pleasure.

Time and Motivation
I know nearly everyone has not as much free time as wanted and might for sure have something better to do with it then hanging around with the GE. At all it´s still and always you who are regulating your time. But if you go around and say “I´ve no time for the GE right now, maybe later.”, as some MIGHT do, your in the same situation as most are or were at a point within their carreers. Motivation is a tricky thing, also I have many moments without it, but you yourself need to grant it, or nothing will happen. Try it, build up your own motivation! You´ll see it´s worth it.

Am I inactive/AWOL?
IF you read this report and think that you could answer this question with “yes” then you have two options – staying like this or standing up again. If you decide to stay like this, which I don´t hope, you have to options again – just being quiet or mailing your CO that you want to be transfered to the Reserves. Those Inactives here I want to ask to be fair enough to use the second option; inform you COs and we have fewer problems and fewer dissapointment, and you´ll stop getting spammed by GE-mail.

Combat Ladders
The Winter Ladders started right now and there is plenty of time. As we have 2 of the Army-platforms as our main base, not to forget the only active JA-unit, I want as many as possible of you to take part in the ladders. At all it can be a rewarding thing.

This month

This month is one of the most difficult within the last years. I´m now in the decesive exams of the A-level and same time last stage of this damn driving licence (practical test tomorrow). I can´t say I haven´t enough free time, no. But I have very little free room for my thoughts and can´t give full power, which will stay like this for the rest of the month. So the competition-plans I´m working on will need to wait till next month and my presence will stay this low for some time. I hope you understand this.

AWOL-checks

As you´ve read both companies hold, by order of the High Command, internal AWOL-checks which ended on the 15th; so yesterday. Means if you haven´t reported in these are your last minutes/hours to do so. I want both company-COs to send the results to the SC and the Army Command (CC to me) ASAP.
