<Fel> The Empire has seen a small drop in numbers this month down to 171 actives and 791 total Imperials. Fierce fighting on the outer parts of our space have caused the loss of a few officers, but these deaths will be avenged!
<Fel> I do however look forward to seeing these rise before the next meeting on December 2nd. Remember the double award for recruiting is still open until next weekend.
<Fel> #2. Double awards - one week to go
<Fel> As previously announced there are currently double awards for recruiting and external competition representations (i.e. ICTE). These bonuses will expire next weekend, so I suggest as many as possible take this opportunity to make a difference...
<Fel> the original details can be found on the forums, at http://empirereborn.net/holonet/viewtopic.php?t=1891. Please note that it might take up to 1-2weeks after the 11th for the extra awards to display on your profiles; but a fleet memo will be released with all those who have achieved a bonus.

<Fel> #3. Xfire clan and Xfire
<Fel> Major Munro Burton has been working hard on creating a clan for us on Xfire to give us more exposure. The page should be available at http://www.xfire.com/clans/empirereborn/.
<Fel> Please contact the Major for an invite - I hope to see many more members in the clan very shortly - Xfire *is* an official instant messenger with distinct bonuses over AIM. (They will be however be kept as official communication platforms).
<Fel> I encourage all members of the Empire to install XFire as soon as possible, as well as making sure that you use AIM. It is essential that the Empire has good communication links at all time, as this easily helps activity.

<Fel> #4. Possible Changes to Academy Entry requirements
<Fel> After some research by the academy staff, it has been found that most cadets who graduate have an instant messenger contact. Thus, new cadets may soon require at least one instant messenger account (either AIM or XFire).
<Fel> This could increase the ratio of graduating cadets - and the Empire always needs more personnel... In line with this, FA Polanski *strongly* suggests all members should review their instant messaging usage.
<Fel> And now for news from myself regarding the Navy & Site

<Fel> 1) Navy Roster Status
<Fel> The Empire at War group in the Navy continues to grow at a rapid pace, and as it stands, we have four full frigates. Well done in the EaW recruiting; keep it up!
<Fel> However, Zeta Squadron (XWA) is in poor shape lately and will soon be closing. This is a bit of a loss for the Flagship, but the remaining actives from Zeta have been consolidated in Psi, to make it even more active as a squadron.
<Fel> 2) Outer Rim War III
<Fel> The Outer Rim Wars is a series of wargame campaigns conducted between clubs such as the GE, EH, and Rebel Squadrons. Though the GE sent unofficial delegations only to ORW and ORWII, the GE has whole-heartedly signed up for the ORW III.
<Fel> This game will be a three way MP Competition between three factions: Imperials, Rebels, and Sith.
<Fel> As you may have guessed, we have signed up as Imperials.
<Fel> The game is still being finalized at present, and we will let you know when it will start, but for now - you had best get to training!
<Fel> 3) Bug Tracking
<Fel> I have taken the time to set up a bug tracking system for the EmpireReborn.net site. If you find any problems with the site, even typos or other things you might consider "minor", you may file a bug report on it.
<Fel> You may also request new features or other enhancements there, but before doing so you may wish to speak to someone in High Command to see if what you have in mind is reasonable.
<Fel> You can get to the bug system at http://www.empirereborn.net/bugs/ and you will need to sign up before you can file a report.
<Fel> This is just so you can get e-mail updating you on the status of the bugs that belong to you, and you can configure what sort of mail you want to get.

<Fel> Starting shortly, the ImperialSquadrons.net systems will be locked out for a server move.
<Fel> However, it may take some time before you are able to access the new server to get to the site, since DNS changes take time to propagate to your ISPs and to nameservers throughout the world. Thus, it will be a few days, and it will vary from person to person.
<Fel> Before the move, Vortagh and I will place a lockout on the domain, and then move it. Thus, when you can reach the domain and it is no longer locked out, you will be viewing the new one rather than the old one. This way, there will be no data lost during the move.
