Summer Reduced Activity Requirements (R&R)

Officers of the Empire!

It is customary that the summer period has required activity requirements due to the sheer nature of availabilty of staff. This is no different this summer. The reduced activity period shall operate July 17th - September 4th; and all reporting requirements are increased by 7 days during this period.

This of course is entirely optional and it would be best if as many stayed within the normal operating response times as possible so that we may defend off any rebel attacks that believe foolishly that they can take advantage of us.

I wish everyone a good break and hlep that many can enjoy the warm weather this time of year!

Why not make it "Summer Increased Activity Requierments"? Afterall all the other time in the year people say they have too little time because of school. :P

Its reverse for me because I am a scheduling artist where I have massive free time at school but during the summer I am taking summer classes which consumes 7am-Noon then I slave at work from 1pm or 3 to 9:30pm. So I use my wonderful free time here at school before class to do my stuff. Like I just completed updating my 2nd Brigade Google groups deleting the lost and inputing the new

I agree with Fel and Vort. Evidence of increased activity can be seen on the combat ladders, in particular the Jedi Outcast ladders. At the end of the last round, the winner had 69 matches in total.

Yours truly now has 33 matches in total, not five days into the current round. Assuming similiar performance on a five-day basis through the 90 days, that's well over five hundred matches. I'm going to take it easy and aim for a mere three hundred.

Well, I guess I'm the only one grateful for the change in policy. I'm actually far busier during the summer with work and chores then I have been with school. Working 9 hours a day, 5 days a week takes up far more of my time, and what free time I get I tend to use to spend with my girlfriend.

Plus, Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War has become my new addiction. Find me a Star Wars game that my computer can run to replace it, and my activity level will once again increase.

There is no such thing and I doubt there ever will be. Plus, the 40k universe is tons cooler than the Star Wars one.

Though I am greatly amused by the orks, especially the note in the codex about their latent psionic abilities concerning how if they paint something red will cause an object to go faster simply because they think it will.

ÃŽ think that is why Germany's Odonkor (fastest soccer player, runs 100m around 10,8 - in soccer shoes :P) wears red shoes. :P

Note that this is entirely optional; and in the past we have seen less activity due to extra commitments from family etc.

There as always is no maximum activity; I have just made it a little easier during the summer if you go on holiday for a while. I will be sure to mention a few extra points in the incoming email
