Server downtime?

Just a quick question - did the Empire Reborn / MBs go down earlier - just wanted to find out whether it was that or my Internet server?

There can be a few causes...

If I'm doing the MB updates, you'll get a message in this theme that says "This Board is Currently Unavailable".

It's possible that things are going for a little shuffle on the back end at our webhost. They move servers & such now and then and it's beyond our control.

Your ISP could be updating its DNS records. This happens periodically and is normal.

Also - there's the possibility that the internet demons (my minions) are wreaking some random havoc on your connection or your network interface just hates you.

I beg to differ. The short fellow with the various mental complexes was, last I check, the sysadmin for whatever ISP you use. Napoleon may be dead, but his spirit lives on in the (pathetic) lives of others.

Hmm is that based on the pathetic American historian's views that Napoleon conquered most of Europe because he was short and so had to prove himself and rubbish like that?
He might have had a small amount of that kind of psychological impetus at school in Brienne and so on, but that argument is far too facile after he gets over his teens
