Because it needs balancing! The Rebels have units which are pretty powerful.

I'm sorry to tell you Sir, but as disgusting as it is the Eclipse wil end up on the new side. They already screwed up the timeline. What's preventing them from screwing up the faction it belongs to? It's obviously on the new pirate side.

Petroglyph's the one making the game, not LucasArts... and I have to say, they're doing a better job than LA did with Force Commander. What a godawful game.

Still, LA should at least have a "Consistency Office" which keeps everything nice and straight.

Right. I didn't word that very well. I meant that Lucas Arts should have been keeping more canon checks on Petroglyph.

Hmm, Eclipse class Super Star Destroyers (Or Star Dreanoghts, if you believe some people

) on a side other than the Empire. I suppose the leader of that faction will be Luke Skywalker and the faction will be named in homage of his dustball of a homeworld. I mean come on, it doesn't make much sense does it? Who else but the Empire would waste the resources to construct such a huge weapon? It is our style after all.

Well, at least for most of us. (Says the guy who has yet to build the Death Star in EaW, because he does not see the need.)

Heh. I never had it in SP, other than it being required to win the SP campaign. The damned thing's too slow in hyperspace and its only advantage in tactical is the two VSDs and four Tartans that's added to the fleet. If you've got four VSDs and four Tartans travelling with it, that gives you quite a punch. Six VSDs, eight Tartans.

On the other hand, you could use the Death Star strategically to provide more firepower for a system you're always being attacked in. Like a Rebel system you have a fleet orbiting. The Rebels seem to like attacking those systems.
