check the requirerments for applying first, you need to be a SL and take exams and stuff...

Phantom WAS Lieutenant (was even Commander of the Nemesis), and has the qualification exams (on the old GE page), just left and returned as EN, and remember sheÂ´s one of the two Gimel veterans from itÂ´s first day, just with a trip to Lamed (or Daled?) and a break of about 1/2 - 1 year. SheÂ´s experienced enough for this, and quallified to. That doesnÂ´t say sheÂ´ll get the position!

Not a problem. I realize, since my return, that there are a few new faces here. I understand that some of you never knew of my time here before I took a quick retirement.

What counts now is the fact that I am back here, among friends, and willing to do whatever it takes to help the GE make a comeback to it's origional glory. I'm quite sure the rest of you are willing to do the same. Am I right?

Also, as a general FYI: You do not need to be an SL to apply for an LT position - generally, the 1O will open it to everyone. However, SLs generally do have the best odds of getting the slot, because of experience, ect.

Excuse me if I interrupt anyone here, but according to commonly accepted policy, it's the promoted officer that buys the drinks. At least that was how it was done in the Good Old Days (tm). And when I say "buys the drinks" I mean "buys the drinks for the entire fleet until the next promotion occurs". :P

Congratulations on your promotion, Lieutenant. You definitely deserved it. It will be a pleasure serving directly beneath your command in the beloved Gimel Squadron. Those TIE Bombers we use may not look or seem like much, but they can pack quite a punch. As for drinks? Well, I don't care, just as long as someone goes home happy with that.

Ok, i'm back.

Thanks all you guys, its might be a littile hard for a Tie Fighter pilot to get use to flying slow Tie Bombers. But hey, i'm going to make it the best damned T/B squadron out there.
