User Map

Some of you guys will know Google Earth, a cool map program with lots of features. One of the features is that you can save whole collections of placemarks, so I figured I will collect and release a set of placemarks with the locations of GE members, a kind of super nifty 3D user map. :-)

Well, till now I have the locations of myself, Laith, Qorl, Steel and Zwib and you can download the file here.
All you have to do is save the file and double click on it. It should automagically open Google Earth with all the locations under your "Temporary Places". You don't even have to move them, because as soon as you close the program, you will get a message asking if you want to move them automatically into your saved files - voila. :-)

If you want to share your coordinates with us, give me a call and I will tell you what I need. :-)

And another edit: This time I added Tuomo and Snogard.

Oh and yes, I do realize that Snogard lives at Zwibs place in the US and that Zwib lives where I live. :P
It's not a mistake. :P

I found it interesting that first of all it has the houses numbered wrong where I live. Also the image that is shown for my area is well over a year old. Are yours more up to date then that?

No, mine is at least 4 years or older.
They tend to get the highest quality they can get and then just use that. Which is cooler than having a blurry green-grey mess that is up-to-date. ;-)

The shadow on the left half of the roof makes my house look much thinner than it really is :p

Much as I'd love to participate in this, I have to decline due to the simple fact that my place is so small it does not register on Google Earth. However I will be more than glad to provide my precise location when I move to a larger population center.
