Idea regarding the Imperial Archives

How about turning the index page into a page which says "To find out the password for the archives, log into Admin. It's right there on the page after you log in."

Just an idea... because in the last few days, it feels like I've been continually asked for instructions on how to access the Archives!

We really can't do that; the 403 page the comes up is server generated, not put in place by us. Remember, the password is on the entire subdirectory.

Of course you can do that.
When I was with 1and1 they allowed it. All you need is an .htaccess file that points to the page used for whatever ### error you want. I had one on the old IS.pages that gave you a "move along citizen" page for 404.
In that one file, you can specify new pages (and thus looks) for evey error message there is.

Anything you want it to show. Basically you just tell the server "Yo, when something's not there, instead of showing your lame 404, you show cool404.html" - which you have to create beforehand, of course. :P

The other thing you can do is in the area where it says what you're logging into on the pop-up box, there you can say "For password, log into admin!"
