As the older navy members should remember, MS had closed the XvT/XWA room there about 2 years ago. However, one could still go to the direct play and find the rooms there.
A few weeks ago I went to the MS Zone and found our that it was no more.

For me the zone, even despite its decline and the consequent monopolisation of the clans there, represented the best way to recruit true citizens that were still green to the XvT/XWA universe, let alone the existance of clans or clubs.

With that gone, I am wondering about new ways to recruit imperial citizens into the Empire. Although I am writing this with mainly XvT/XWA in mind, it also surely covers the other platforms as well.

What the point of this long monologue is? I think it would be interesting to start a survey among the newer officers and cadets about how theyÂ´ve found us and why theyÂ´ve joined us. This information could give us some valuable infos and thus a possible recruiting strategy.

[edit] now that I look at it, it wasnÂ´t that long at all :p

I also used to do most of my recruiting on the Zone, and now that that's no longer an option, I have no idea where to go looking for new members. So, I, er, fourthend the idea.

I was zoned in. It was either on JK or JK2... around that time I think I would have been playing JK. I have tried to recruit among my friends who have Star Wars games. One has kotor, but that's not supported. I have another friend who has BFII, and I've been schmoozing up to him to try and convince him to join.

Yes, that is always a good idea. But remember to check the rules of those boards. Some boards are quite psychotic :p
