Rebellion/Supremacy Showdown

It's been a while since I've had a good Rebellion match, and since I spend most of my weekends "working" which gives me 12 hours with which to play, I'm sending out an open invitation to anyone who would like to try their luck against me. Those in European time zones feel free to apply, as next week I'll be on the late late shift (midnight to noon), which is about late morning to late evening your time.

I used to play Rebellion with a modem, directly calling my best friend across town and hogging the phoneline for hours. We devised elaborate ways to decide who got to play the Empire... good times.

*wipes a tear of remembrance away from a misty eye* Anyhoo, I'd love to dust off the game and give you a whirl. I'm on leave until January 5th, but after then would be good for me.

In the meantime, I guess I should familiarize myself with the German version so that I don't have to frantically flip through a dictionary if the Emperor tells me something abstruse in the middle of a battle.

Ive never played it multiplayer before, i think i might go for some of that!!

I might need to do a bit of playing through, my ISP at home is a bit gay, doesnt allow any outgoing connections, gonna have to hook up a tunnel through SSH to one of my work's servers and then onto you (well actually, onto the world MUAAHAHAHA, /me raises little finger to side of mouth)

I do the same, but I still leave the music on, usually because even if you turn it off it somehow turns itself back on again anyhow.

Zwib: If you can deal with the fact that I'm stuck on Dial-up at work, you're on! No big deal with busy signals, I use the standby line we keep seperate from the main phone system. Basically it's there, but nobody ever uses it, nobody remembers the number, so the boss doesn't mind if we use it for dial up.

Drazhar: Yes we all know you are evil, now join me in a battle of the titans and prove it!

Don't worry, it's been a while for me, too. So you may even stand half a chance.

Those interested in a match can find me on AIM between the hours of 12 am and 12 pm Pacific Standard Time (-8 GMT). If you don't see me you can probably assume that someone else has gotten there first and I've shut off AIM to conserve my pitiful at work dialup connection during play.

Heh, sure. I was busier than I thought before. I should be around either day, that is assuming my game doesn't decide to act up. XP doesn't like the older games sometimes.
