Web Stats for empirereborn.net... [updated 16-Jan]

I was looking over our webstats for empirereborn.net, most impressive....

We are currently reaching ~ 12,000 unique hits a month, in January this was just 5317, in April 7489, July 9482 and October currently reads 11694.

In terms of page views, we have a current high of 87096(!!) this month, although the graph points that it should be roughly 60000-70000 being usual.

Less impressive is the pages per unique visit, which lies around the 7 page mark.

Our own hit counter reads 90868 visits (not unique visits) and 363541 page views so far.

Anyone remember how many unique visits imperialnexus.net got per month? Daemon said it once....

Unfortunately not even I have a memory that good. But I doubt that the nexus was attracting that much traffic then. Things weren't going well and I don't think that the same presence existed as has been developed since through the leadership of this organisation. Plus, Empire Reborn looks and feels a lot nicer than the nexus did, thus encouraging more traffic to take a closer look.

As Starbug (good to see you here!) brought this topic back to life, I thought I'd go and recheck the current statistics and provide an update.

These stats are for empirereborn.net only (i.e. landing on the main page and other pages, incl messageboard), for November and December 2005

There were nearly 32,000 unique visitors (16k each time)

There are over 100,000 page views per month - for a historical chart of growth, click the thumbnail:


Our pages / visit ratio still remains around 7.


For January alone, the figures (still obviously in progress) lie as:
57,000 page views (with spikes on the 9th and 10th)
7,000 unique visitors
8.24 pages per visit.


Note that the above stats are just for empirereborn.net. Taking into the whole hosting package (which contains some non-ge sites as well) there are another 7,000 page views. It appears on face value that most of our visitors (when known, which isnt very often) are referred to us from google.

Admiral, if I might suggest, because we get so many page views, perhaps we are doing something wrong in attracting new members? What I mean to say is, maybe we need a bigger "Join Us!" link.

Thanks for that Admiral, it's good to come visiting here and see how things are going still.

As far as getting more people to sign up perhaps, or maybe it's a shift away from big organised gaming groups. How's the Emperor's Hammer going now days? Their fortunes could well be used as a good measure of ups and downs in the star wars online gaming community. To combat this, not only would one have to understand what makes people want to join the Empire, but what also motivates them to stay active and to participate in activities.

Time for a proper survey (and not a forum poll) to get some answers on this one.
