NCO Corps?

Well, I was looking in the official rosters, and it has NCO Coprs now. What is that?

Allow me to explain!

We once had the NCO corps but it was closed down. It was meant to be for people who did not own a Star Wars game the Empire played. The idea was for the NCO corps to contain people who were good at graphics, websites, and the like. However, the NCO corps was never very successful on its own - it mostly consisted of GE people who had made a clone to enter into it.

The reason it is reappearing is because the "inactive" profiles that once were on the Imperial Nexus are being added. However, so that they make sense, it was necessary to add the NCO corps back into the list, even if the division is to remain closed.

Contrary to what a very few old people think, the NCO was and will always be, dead on arrival. As Admiral Fel said, the whole reason for the NCO-corpse to exists, was for people who did not own SW games, but still wanted to be in the GE.

At that time, there were already a great many games from our platforms available for 5-10 dollars/euros, so nobody really had any cause to enter it.
In addition let me quote former Admiral Syrtaras: "There's nothing to do in the Corps, that any *other* GE member in the Navy or Legion couldn't do better - or is already doing so."

And yes, in the end it was mostly GE members creating clones, who then took off time from their other characters. Useless.

I think we had maybe two characters in the NCO corpse that were no clones.

Sorry, the NCO Corps was added to the DB with the addition of old Nexus data; we are not restarting it or anything. It should be set to inactive for the time being.

That 1 cadet is an error on all section rosters that have 0 cadets... it's a bug that has to due with how cadets are counted (basically). I've never had time to look into it.
