You can get a free 30 day trial of mIRC here Klanderman: http://www.mirc.com/get.html. It's not as good as the link from GE but it does the job. I have the same problem as you, so I just got this.

Hmm, the mIRC install on my computer hit somewhere around 300 before I reformatted, and the home computer had to be 6-700 before that one got reformatted
