General Jansen walked through the ashes of the Pirate stronghold. The Empire had smashed the Pirate forces, and now all that remained were scattered groups. But the Imperial Army would npt need to deal with them: Infighting would consume them quickly. The main work of the Army on Geonosis was done. A small force would stay behind to keep things under control, but that would be all.
For now, the Army was going to take some well deserved time off. Soon it would be time to go up against the Rebels again...

"Captain, I think getting out of here now would be a good idea. Before the Rebels get their local forces in to trap us." La Forge was usually an optimist, but not this time around. "I imagine they keep some heavy standing forces around the fringe of their territory... and that's where we are."
Steel's voice, filtered by the TIE pilot suit, echoed on the bridge over the comm, "Ah, can't we blow some more Rebels up?"
Muscat laughed and replied, also from his fighter. "Steel wants to take on the whole Rebellion himself."
"If only you let me, captain," Steel was only slightly joking.
"Anyway," Vortagh interrupted, "let's get moving. There will be lots more days to blow things up on."
"Aye, captain," said Muscat. "Iota squadron on its way home."
"Hold on there, Commander, I've got some more incoming ships," La Forge read off the screen as fast as info came up. "I see fighters and small capships. And I'm willing to bet there are a lot of them coming!"
"Can we blow them all up?" Steel was always eager.
"Let's cover our escape and get out of here," Vortagh decided. "Let the Rebels show up and find nothing. We'll get out and they'll be rather disorganized looking for us. Especially since their main capships will have been drawn away from whatever they were doing before." While the Rebels were disrupted, it would certainly mean they would be vulnerable other places. And Vortagh loved sowing confusion amidst his enemies.
"What about the ones out there now?" La Forge asked.
"You can destroy them, but the Warhammer has got to get away. I'll hang every last one of you if the Warhammer takes damage because you're showing off!" Vortagh was half-joking. "Transmit the jump co-ordinates to the fighters... We'll jump a bit over and pick up the fighters there, then head home." He punched some co-ordinates in a datapad and handed it over to a junior officer.
"Righto, sir," Muscat and squadron peeled off and moved to an attack formation.
"Got the co-ordinates, Warhammer," Steel said. "We'll maul the Rebels, no problem. You just get out."
Vortagh spoke again. "Don't get killed showing off. Vortagh out."

Admiral Fel was on the bridge. He didn't come up to the bridge as often as he once did, but today he was there. Wedge took it as a good sign. If the Admiral had time to be here, it meant things were going well elsewhere. Or maybe he just wanted to be up front for what was coming. Fel always liked being up front when things drew to a clos
The blue tunnel of hyperspace around the Nemesis was calm and soothing, contrasting against the tension the crew was feeling. The Pirates had been caught between the Imperials and Rebels, and were being neatly crushed. The Nemesis was on its way to finish of the pirates at Geonosis. The Imperial Army had already shattered the pirate forces on the ground. All that remained was the balance of the pirate space fleet, consolidated for a last stand at Geonosis.
The time was right to finish off the pirates. Once they were out of the picture it would be just the Imperials and Rebels. The last showdown for the Outer Sectors.
But all of that lay in the future. First it would be necessary to finish the pirates. They were waiting. Just waiting.
This was going to be a difficult mission for the Nemesis, for certain. If they could pull it off, a major pain in the side of the Empire would be crushed. If not... the Nemesis might suffer the same fate that the Chimaera did. Or perhaps worse...

Mission Assignments:
Iota Squadron: ERS103-TIE
Zeta Squadron: ERS104-XWA
Epsilon Squadron: ERS105-XvT
Gimel Squadron: ERS106-XWA
Imperial Army; Please write some fiction about the end of the pirates on Geonosis and/or how you are spending your R&R leave.
NOTE: This week's Epsilon and Gimel missions are highly critical! If the Empire does not receive good participationg from the Nemesis members, the mission will be a disaster for the Empire. Do not allow this to happen!
ALSO: Jagged Fel reported a crash in ERS105-XvT. I believe I have corrected it, and I was not able to reproduce it after my changes. HOWEVER, please let me know if there are problems!
A big thanks to Jagged Fel again for the Warhammer Missions.
