Nebulon-B Frigate Typhoon: Mission Log
Chapter 1: “Defending Caaraz”
The stark white lines which decorated the icy blanket of deep space quickly formed back to the glimmering diamonds that were stars as the Nebulon-B Frigate named Typhoon dropped out of hyperspace. The dull surface of Caaraz filled the sight of all eight staff of the Frigate. Each of the men was here to defend a planet that was Imperial property. The rebel scum had started constructing a space station on the other side of the planet, and was planning on lodging an attack on the Empire’s outpost in the rural city of Wapassu.
The silence in the command bridge was broken by the smooth voice of Lieutenant Jeremy Selden, the ship’s captain and the absolute authority aboard the Typhoon. The Captain started pacing across the glossy DuraSteel floor, heels of his boots clicking. One more sound to accompany the many ambient noises from technology and staff everywhere else on the ship.
“Men, today, Admiral Fel has charged us with a great task. As you all probably know, Imperial intelligence knows of rebel plans to destroy our center of operations on Caaraz and claim the planet as their own.” He stopped to stare each of the staff aboard the bridge straight in the eye. As he continued pacing, orders continued to flow from his lips seamlessly. “Our mission is simple: destroy the space station on the far side of the planet, and deploy infantry troops to safeguard the warehouse. Any questions?”
Ensign Aurora Rhun gulped, and began to speak. “Sir, shouldn’t we scramble a few TIE squadrons after we destroy the station in case the New Re-.” The Hangar Ops officer was cut off by a strict glare from Lieutenant Selden. Everyone in the Empire was supposed to refer to the Rebellion as simply that, the rebellion. Even if they had bestowed some fancy and wrongful title to themselves. Aurora gulped once more and continued asking his question. “In case the Rebellion responds with a naval task force?”
“Admiral Fel will deploy SysForce 2 if the rebel scum decides to question our tactics,” Selden responded.
“Sir, we’re approaching the rebel station rapidly. About half an hour away,” Ensign Draconas, the spacecraft’s navigator put in.
“Ensigns Sulk and Teishu, offensive and defensive status report,” the Captain said, questioning the frigate’s ability to go to battle yet.
“Shields are at full capability, sir,” Kashikoi put out.
“All weapons are charged and operational,” Thade Sulk said, fulfilling the report. Each officer was silent once more, waiting for further orders from their commanding officer.
“Very well. Ensign Rhun, scramble five Defender squadrons and fifteen regulars.”
“Yes sir!” Aurora said, heading for the turbolift in order to relay the command to the Hangar Bay.
A solemn look crossed Selden’s face as the space station filled the command bridge’s window view. “Thade! Fire with all our might! Emphasis on ion cannons!”
“Aye sir!” he said, pressing controls rapidly. Brilliant streaks of green, red, and blue filled the space around Caaraz, volleying towards both craft. Squadrons of X-Wings seemed to exit the space station endlessly to combat the hostile TIEs.
“Keep me informed on our shields, Ensign Teishu!” the Lieutenant exclaimed.
“Shields at 79% and going fast,” Kashikoi Teishu replied.
Two hours of assault banter flew across the command bridge of the frigate. Satisfied grins appeared on all of the staff’s faces as the orange fire of explosions lined the surface of the rebel’s space station, and it appeared to crack in many different pieces.
“Sir, I believe we’ve won the battle,” Communications officer Luthein Jerkins said, a chuckle following it.
“I believe so too, Ensign, I believe so too,” Lieutenant Selden said, preparing to order the retreat. “Ensign Jerkins, relay this order to all troops: Retreat, the Empire claims victory this fine day.”
At the end of this glorious victory for the Empire Lieutenant Selden, walk to his office to send out the weekly status Report.

My Orders for this Week, as per usual, are as follows; Report In to me once or twice a week before my Status Reports (SRs) on Friday or Saturday. Remember, that your report ins should have a complete list of anything you have done in the past week, not just a simple: Reporting In Sir. Make yourself present on the Messages Boards, IRC, AIM, and other GE facilities. Sign up for the Ladders and play some matches. Try to complete simulations in the Combat Chamber. Take Exams at the Imperial Academy as well as earning some BCCs and ACCs. Remember, if you aren’t going to be active, then don’t join the Empire! My last Order, is to have a good week, everyone.
