Please extend a warm welcome to Ensign Jake Drelwyn, who joins us as Iota 1-2, and Ensign Buddy Casino, now Iota 1-3! Congratulations on your promotions!
-Personal news and activity-
I have started to put together an Iota Squadron website. Eventually, this will contain contact information, current orders, an archive of past reports, and perhaps other things (if there's anything you'd like to see on the website, email me and let me know). A prototype will be available at http://iota.empirereborn.net/ once the project has progressed a bit further.
I am also working on a pair of recruitment banners for the GE, which should be done within a few days.

-Promotions, medals and honors-
NC Drelwyn and NC Casino were promoted to Ensign. Congratulations and welcome to Iota!
-Recruitment-

Two new officers have joined Iota within the past week, bringing our number of pilots up to 7. I shall be investigating other venues for recruitment which may prove fruitful, in hopes of increasing our numbers yet further.
-Orders-
SL Alex and EF Ace: I have not heard from either of you once since taking command. Please contact me as soon as possible.
EN Casino: Please also contact me at the earliest opportunity, and introduce yourself. I'd also like to know what you're interested in doing in the GE (flying missions, creating missions, designing graphics or anything else), and how much time you think you'll be able to devote to the Empire.
All pilots: please make sure to have contact with me once weekly (at the minimum - more often is always appreciated!).
If you have not already done so, please sign up for the GE message boards. They're a great way to stay in touch with other officers and keep yourself informed of GE news.
For those of you who are able to fly (myself regrettably not among them), consider flying some Combat Chamber missions you haven't yet completed.
Try to participate in some of the ongoing competitions listed below.
I have begun working on an Iota website (see also the note under "Personal news and activity"). If anyone would like to help with website creation, please contact me.
-Current GE activities-
CL La Forge is looking for submissions for the ninth GE Newsletter. Fiction, banners and posters are just some of the possibilities. Contributions must be mailed to the Captain (sfo@empirereborn.net) by 7 January.
BRG Branet's end-of-year trivia competition is still open and will run through the end of December.
FA Fel is looking for a high-quality custom EaW mission, and has promised a Bronze Seal to the first officer to submit one.
If I've missed anything that should be listed here, email me and I'll include it in my next report. (And yes, I realize that this list is much the same as last week's... many of last week's activities are still ongoing.)
