It’s a new month, and what does that mean? It means that it’s time for me to come back inside from the pool with the beautiful women around it to write one of these report things. Curse you, SCS, for wanting to be kept in the loop!
Anyways, once again, there still isn’t a whole lot going on, though I’ve heard from most of you so I know you’re all alive, even Draz and his spamming ways. Fly a mission or three, folks! I know its summertime, but how many girls in bikinis do you have to see in a day? Oh, wait. Never mind….
So far I’ve received ONE submission for the Iota Squadron Banner Competition, and that came from Ensign Lenanor. Disappointed? You bet I am. I’m going to extend this one final week to July 8th. After that, I’m going to start using somebody for target practice.
Also, if I’m right Drazhar has been hard at work doing the signature banners for the GE: ER Message Boards, and has completed most if not all of them by this time. A commendation is in order for you in the near future, but I’ve got no idea what, or for that matter, if it’s coming from me or the High Command. We’ll see what happens.
Fourth, the general GE Meeting will be held TODAY, Saturday July 1st in the IRC channel #galactic_empire. They’ll be announcements, trivia, and other fun stuff with your fellow Imperials. Both Line Captain LaForge and Commander Muscat are currently on leave and will not be attending, so I suppose it’s my responsibility as the next Senior Ranking to attend in their place. Lucky me! Feel free to attend if possible, and watch me take on the Army’s Lieutenant Colonel Foley and 2nd Lieutenant Baker in a massive Halo 2 Death Match while doing announcements and answering trivia at the same time! Can I multitask? You’re damn right I can! Go Navy, Beat Army! :P
(Insert shameless plug) Also, if you’re bored and want something to do, you’re free to volunteer to aid VA Jagged Fel and the Office of Tactical Coordination in flight testing the plethora of custom missions that have been submitted over the years and put off until now. Send him an e-mail or IM if you’re interested. If you could see the list on the ImperialSquadrons.net message boards, you’d know why I’m putting out this invitation. We’ve got dozens of missions still to test for TIE, XvT/BoP, and XWA, and not much happening.
Lastly, has anyone figured out what’s going on the GEDom3 yet? I don’t think there’s been a decision made since Vortagh retired, but if I’ve missed something, let me know. Your commander can be dense at times.
Personal News
I’m still in the process of typing up the fiction I’m co-writing with the Army’s LTC John Foley and it’s taking me longer then I had thought it would. If the guy’s handwriting were a bit more legible, I’d be done already, but it’s like trying to read Canadian! I’ve also finally been testing some of the missions OTC has posted up. Of course, I got the one with the broken mission in the middle of a 4-mission battle! My luck sucks. And I’ve been mostly enjoying my summer. Wait a minute, girls, I’m coming!
Current Squadron Orders
• Submit any works of fiction, graphics, or mission creations for GE Domination III
• Participate in the Iota Squadron Banner Competition
• Fly any assigned missions from CM Muscat for his Chimaera Reborn project.
• Fly as many missions as possible from the Combat Chamber
• Participate in the Combat Ladders for any platform you possess the BCC for, including XvT, XWA, EaW, JO, JA, BF and BF2, and GB.
• Please aim to make contact at least once every three days even if it's just to say “Hi, I'm here, I'm flying this mission” (You can send mail to all the squadron via iotasquad@yahoogroups.com.)
