An explanation of the color-codes: GREEN indicates has been in contact within the last week
(at minimum); YELLOW indicates between one and two weeks ago (get in contact with me!),
and RED indicates a time period longer than two weeks (get in touch NOW!).

FPR Status
Pilot files received from EN Jast, SL O'Moran, and 2LT Drazhar for this round. All processed. In addition I have turned in one pilot file for this OS round and EN Jast has completed several additional Combat Chamber missions during last week’s break. Good work!

Iota Squadron News
First off, I’d like to welcome aboard Ensign Lanil Jast who takes over my old position of Iota 1-2. He has done an excellent job showing how active a pilot can be, even contacting me before I found out he’d been assigned to us! Your MoC should be on its way by now with all the FPRs I’ve filed for you. Keep it up!

At the time I write this, 4 of 7 pilots in the squadron have completed the assigned Outer Sectors mission this week. That’s great work, but I know we can do better. Even 2LT Drazhar was even able to do so by “borrowing” a computer from someone while his is undergoing repairs. Additionally, those 3 who haven’t flown I haven’t heard from since taking over command of the squadron from CM Muscat, and one is in danger of going AWOL. Get in touch with me ASAP. This goes especially for Ensign Itelia Semm. At the very least, have your brother give me an update on your status, and vice versa. My e-mail box is always open and I’m on AIM as much as my life allows and is safe for normal human consumption.

I’ve got a few plans for the squadron sitting on the back burner right now. More on these to come later. I’d also like to see more activity during the off weeks of the OS campaign. Write fiction, fly missions from the GE Combat Chamber, or compete on the Combat Ladders, but try not to just sit around and do nothing. I know some of us actually have lives outside of the Internet and I understand that, but I don’t ask for much.

Personal News
Well, it’s my first Iota Squadron Report and so far, things are looking good. If I left anything out or make a mistake, feel free to e-mail me and correct it and to brag about the new guy’s screw up. I’ve been doing my best to remain active and make the transition of leadership as smooth as possible, completing this week’s OS mission and filing FPRs for every mission that’s come my way. I’ve also found time to get my personal life back on track and may soon have a new girlfriend, proving that you can have a g/f and still remain active. What’s dragging me down is my DEP requirements with the US Marine Corps three days a week, plus one Saturday a month. I’m working on cutting this back a bit though. I’ve also been trying to complete a fiction story but have so far been unable to succeed.

Current Squadron Orders
• Fly any/all Outer Sectors missions
• Please aim to make contact at least once every three days even if it's just to say “Hi, I'm here, I'm flying this mission” (You can send mail to all the squadron via iotasquad@yahoogroups.com.)
• Use the HoloNet message boards: www.empirereborn.net/holonet
