Just a random idea I thought of. Please feel free to leave comments, good or bad. :P

I think that a joining of the Imperial Navy and Army may be a good thing for the GE right now. Due to low numbers incorporating the Army into the Navy may bring people closer together and give a greater sense of community. The Army would probably be called the marines. I don't know how hard that would be and might take up a lot of time, but if not it might be something to consider.

And, as usual, even though I know the arguments against it, I still think we should make IRC compulsory. It would bring people together a lot more. :)

Captain, I have thought about how to increase activity through re-forming the Army (like how the navy was re-formed), and although the combination of the army and navy might seem good on the surface, what would end up happening to the 'navy special forces' as the army might then be called? They would probably have their own units, that work on ships, but report to a general who is still in charge of ground operations. and in the end, we'd probably still be doing what we're doing now. Or the reverse would happen, we take orders from the naval command, and all of our needs are then pushed over to them, which makes them have to work harder (like questions, ideas, reports etc.).
If anything were to change in the army, I would recommend simply combining the two brigades. That is the simplest way, and it will bring all of our officers together, like what the navy did. However, I don't think this will happen either, at least not until there is a sudden drop-off in troops and activity (I know they're both low as it is, but an additional drop-off).

Well the Army was only one brigade before April 2009 when companies had 10 people but since the GE reformation there are only 3 peoplein a company however since brigadehabout six companies we could do that but I am worryied that I might lose my command.

Yes, some commanders might have to sacrifice their units if that was to happen, unless, there were to be a new unit size, like squad, or something. i.e., the company CO would stay in command, under him would be let us say two squads with two troopers and a junior officer in charge (what a company is now), obviously although everyone would be closer, we wouldn't have that many units, like a max. of four squads, with commanders of each company. Something like that, but even then, one of the Brigade COs would have to step down, an they don't deserve that. No matter what happens, if there is a change in structure, someone will lose command. However, there are several units of only one person, and that doesn't really help, no offense to you guys, I fully understand, its just the best way, I think, to increase activity, is to bring people closer together, into tighter knit units, but then we're talking about the lose of command for some officer, which I would hate to have to go through (it would be really cruel to relieve like 5 officers from command).
Right now, there aren't a lot of options for us...

well considering brigades have 4 companies it is possible with the same structure but some comanders in 2nd would lose comand and 2nd brigade's CO would put back into Naval service.

Yes, but even that is unfair to anyone who wants to stay at their present rank, or command. If something happens now, someone will have been treated unfairly, so I think, unless someone comes up with an idea, and we get volunteers for who would step down from command, then nothing can happen, without creating animosity between officers.
