Hello,
I am new recruit Private Dran Lokar. I've had much experience in Star Wars clubs I ue'st to be part of the Imperial Directorate and Vast Empire.

Can't wait to finish trainning! :D

Have a nice time being part of the GE but I believe it is easier to play than Vast Empire etc.

The VE which I am a part of now has a stricter regiment, forced requirements at certain times, limitations, consequences if you dont do what you claim.

Here is more laid back and your expected to send a mail once a week to say your alive.

A word of advice.. pace yourself, I used to be super active here.

I flew 30 custom missions, did a slew of exams, beat several games, did SWG work. Best I got was a Medal of Merit. Next week I doubled it. Honestly, you should give a good effort but dont kill yourself, they cant give you over a MoM for simple activity. Its best not to over do it or you will end up being frustrated. Its a fun place here but dont kill yourself trying. Its not needed.

Indeed it is more laid back that is why it is so much cooler thaan the VE.

As you are well aware, the GE offers countless oppurtunities to be active and participate in events. Officers are always appropriately recognized for their contributions and activity. What you get out of the GE is what you put into it.

thats a lie.

I was told I would be rewarded for nigh clearing the elite troopers board and nothing ever came of it.

And five months waiting for a MoT that never came?

only events other then dozens of motto comps and the ladders have to be made by the one wanting to do them, then its still pulling teeth.

I could keep going but theres lil point.

This is one of the reasons I quit, rather then address problems, the hierarchy tries to sweep them away and not fix them.

Medal of Tactics is an automatic medal done by the system when missions are published, it is not awarded by hand.

Reservist Audrine,

I have no idea who told you you would have been rewarded for your very high amount of simulation submissions, but I would have supported them 100%. Combat missions belong to the group of "activities" I was referring to above. And I can address your concern about your MoT.

Your GB mission was in the process of being reviewed. Both myself and LT Fewrfreyut had looked over it and were in the opinion that it was a bit lacking of depth, specifically the mission objectives were not substantial enough to warrant it being posted. I am not in anyway insulting your mission creation skills within Galactic Battlegrounds, indeed I simply recommended you make the addition of a base-building component into the mission to make it more interesting and engaging. RA Mar has had considerable RL duties that precede any GE duties that he has and has not been able to make a ruling on the mission.

Had you found a way to converse more normally with your fellow officers and stuck around, I have absolutely no doubts that you would have continued to accumulate substantial medals for your activity. However, you did not. You fled the GE for the reasons you specified and (I am of course only making an educated assumption on this one, but I think it's pretty good) because of certain court proceedings that were about to play out.

Now, we of course do not discourage our reservists from posting on the message boards, but I would ask that you not "lurk" around them any longer. I am sure your energies could be spent better elsewhere. Thank you.

One has to only look at Antillies medals line to actually see what he means.

Notice he as only an LSM-1s. He worked hard and participated much to earn all of the other. Awards came because he did what he had to do, without bitching, screaming, backstabbing and whining all the time.

He got involve in *ALL* aspects and fields of the GE. HE is the example to follow if you want a successful career in an Online Star Wars club.

Allow me to second Mar's opinion. It's one thing to be active - and a good thing, no doubt - however, if you manage to alienate pretty much all established members of an organization with your behavior, no amount of activity will ever compensate for that.

I am also in agreement with Mike and Antillies. Skill is vastly important, but it's meaningless if you can't cooperate and peacefully coexist with the rest of the club. It's like being a brilliant teacher who doesn't know who to handle students.
