Well, for one thing Boba Fett wasn't really born, he was a clone of Jango. (Something that the EU writers never considered, Lucas really kinda threw them for a loop on that one.) so from a technical standpoint, since he has the same DNA, you could actually say his name is Jango Fett. According to Pre Prequel cannon he might have been Jaster Mereel. I know there was mention of a possible connection between the two in one of the A.C. Crespin's Han Solo books, as well as others. But according to Post Prequel cannon, his name is and always has been Boba Fett. HOWEVER since Boba Fett was NOT an option in the trivia Mister Branet was either sticking with pre establish cannon or being sneaky to see who was paying attention. As such, whether ot not the answer Boba Fett was more right then Jaster Merell is a moot point.

As to Question 10, I believe the answer you were looking for was "Major Derlin", though I recall reading somewhere in the echos of EU stories that he made Colonel eventually.

The key to Question 10 was in the wording: "in the Rebel Alliance."

He made Colonel by the Thrawn Offensive, in what was technically the New Republic, not the Rebel Alliance. The latest in the timeline he was mentioned, he'd reached Brigadier General.

Well worded explanation on the Fett thing, though.

Well then, if thatÂ´s the case I think we should also notive that LukeÂ´s squadron during the Battle of Yavin was in the movies named Blue Squadron, but in the book Red Squadron.
The book written by George Lucas himself, and given out before the movie.

It was definitely Red Squadron in the movies and I think Blue in the novel/script. The reason they changed it was because of the blue screen - they couldn't paint blue stripes onto the X-wing model without screwing up the space battle scenes. So they just switched to red.

Thank you, and I do stand corrected on the Derlin timeline.

I did try to look him up in the New Essential Guid eto Characters, but despite the fact that all the podracers from The Boonta Eve Classic are listed, Derlin is absent. I did look up Boba Fett after making my previous posts, and the guide gives a slight nod to other pasts with the following:

"Some say he was Jaster Mereel, a journeymand protector from Concord Dawn who'd been exiled for killing a fellow officer. Others pegged him as an adult during the Clone Wars, fighting as one of the supercommandos on the planet Mandalore."

Well, Jaster Meerel was written by Daniel Keys Mooran in Tales of the Bounty Hunters, which means that Boba Fett, written by George Lucas for The Attack of the Clones, is canon. Period.
