I have RC! I think it's a wonderful game!! I perfer to play it online rather than single player though. One thing I will say about how Lucasarts approached gore in a SW game, I don't think they should approach it again. But I can't say I didn't enjoy sticking a gauntlet blade into a Geonosian's head!

(OMG, my first post on the Imperial Army forum!!!...)

It was gory for a star wars game, I do agree with that, though im not compalining. The goriest game I think that has ever hit the market is Soldier of Fortuen 2. So compared to that RC is nothing to me as far as the gore goes. Even though I do love the Army games, I do wish they'd make a new space sijm, no more of that rouge squadron stuff, but things that take place in space. I think It'd be a smart move for Lucas Arts to do something like redoing the Tie enigne, and making it up to modern standars. For instance, bring better graphics, give ships more damnage locations. Make some kinda shield effects. Blow chunks of ships up. And of course, give it the power to run huge large-scale ship battles. I'd love to fly into the Battle of Endor in an Intercepter with my cheats on and destroy Ackbar's ship:). I jk about the cheats, but I'd be great. Then they shuold redo all the old misssions and campaigns, and then ass new ones so that you have tha classic missions and the new ones togetehr. If Lucas Arts did this, I gaurentee them that they'd make millions off that game. There is such a large Star Wars population that will buy anyhting with the star wars logo on it alone, never mind gamers who would love the redone game. Just my little though.

I would say that "Manhunt" is goriest. My cousin has it. And loves it.

*Turns to Mr Klanderman* Realy? I played it the other day! Only because I was bored, though.

The problem is that nobody cares for Simulations anymore. Well that's not true. To quote Carl C. Norman: "Being unique has a real disadvantage. We are a niche market in an overall population that craves instant gratification and reward." (From "Lock On: Modern Air Combat Enhanced Manual").

It hits the nail on the proverbial head. People who want good simulations are looking for them in vain - most of the time. Our group of gamers is such a small marketable group, that most game makers ignore us. There are exceptions to that rule, of course. There's Lock On and the IL2 series (and the addons/spin offs) for air combat, there's Silent Hunter and Harpoon (albeit that one is quite old, but still number one in its own field) for Submarine respective Naval/Air Op simulations.

Sucks to be unique.

How dare they discriminate against us! I mean, yeah, we're a small group, but I atribute that to the fact that there aren't any real good simulations out there. If there were more of them, people would start jumping on the band wagon and increase the demand!

There *are* good simulations out there, just too few and I don't think there'd be more people playing them if there were more of the games out there.

It's simply that people don't want to spend time learning a game. IL2 and Lock On are examples of games that seriously teach you how to fly (and have the best flight engine out there) and it will take quite a while until you will hit anything with four 20mm cannons mounted in a German WWII prop plane...

Same goes with Silent Hunter III. If you run it on full realizm you will have to brush up your trigonometry for torpedo calculations in your head and start learning sub tactics and ASW tactics.

And if you are completely bonkers, you play games like Harpoon or Combat Mission, where the graphics are either none-existant or bad, but the tactical aspect is so incredibly detailed, you forget about it.

But look at most of the people you know. How many care for something?
