13:12 <@FA_Fel> 1) EmpireReborn.net Server Move
13:12 <@FA_Fel> As you have no doubt noticed, the GE:ER moved servers during March. The process took longer than expected due to some difficulties with our old hosting company. During that time, all features except administration and the message boards remained active.
13:12 <@FA_Fel> At this point, everything is reactivated and available on the new server, with one exception. Please note that the Empire Reborn Bug Tracking (Bugzilla) system has been replaced on the new server, with updated software.
13:12 <@FA_Fel> Unfortunately the new bugtracking software has been implicated in the most recent hacking of our domain, so we are investigating that further before we re-enable it.
13:13 <@FA_Fel> We have realized many immediate benefits from the new server, the most noticeable of which is that it is much, much faster. The difference is especially noticeable when using the message boards and administration.
13:13 <@FA_Fel> For now, please report any issues you encounter by e-mail ( sc@empirereborn.net ).

13:13 <@FA_Fel> 2) Imperial Reorganization
13:13 <@FA_Fel> The reorganization of the Navy and the Army was delayed significantly by the server move and the associated issues. With that in mind, everything is ready for today's meeting, and I will now unveil the changes for all!
13:13 <@FA_Fel> This began a couple months ago with a discussion about how we might reorganize the Navy to allow for greated opportunities for young officers. After much work, we have come up with the following system:
13:13 <@FA_Fel> Instead of having the larger 10 and 12 person units in the Army and Navy, respectively, both Navy and Army units will be three person units. This affords officers MUCH greater ability to advance within their chosen division.
13:13 <@FA_Fel> Naval Squadrons are not altered by this, except that newly graduated cadets will be placed into the 2-1 and 3-1 positions, where they may advance up to Lieutenant Junior Grade, from Ensign.
13:13 <@FA_Fel> As top graduates from the academy, the "real life" officers are pressed into higher level positions than the average academy graduate. The wingmen in a flight still exist, of course, but they are not staffed by "real life" officers.
13:14 <@FA_Fel> Bridge Crews see a reduction in positions to Team Leader, Adjutant, and Fire Control. Newly graduated cadets may be placed into the Adjutant and Fire Control positions. The other members of the bridge crew still exist, but not staffed by "real life" officers.
13:14 <@FA_Fel> The Army sees the largest changes. A company how has a CO, and Platoon 1 Leader, and a Platoon 2 Leader.
13:14 <@FA_Fel> The other non-commissioned officers still exist in the army, but are not staffed by "real life" officers.
13:14 <@FA_Fel> A number of officers are being promoted as a result of the reorganization. For the most up to date information, consult your profile. A summary of changes will be e-mailed out to everyone as necessary.

13:16 <@FA_Fel> And, as you may recall, I had a little extra reward in mind for the Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy, and X-Wing Alliance ladders in this session, as long as more than 10 matches were played in each. The only qualifying ladder this time was Jedi Academy, and as such, all participants who played at least one match will have their contributions recognized:

13:17 <@FA_Fel> The spring session of the ladders starts today! I notice that play in the ladders has been steadily decreasing as play in the ICTE (Inter-Club Training Event) has been increasing, and these are no doubt related...
13:17 <@FA_Fel> I offer a reminder that you can play an ICTE match against another GE:ER player and count it towards the ladders, should you both agree (and be on the ladder!). Matches with or against non-GE:ER players cannot count for ladder credit.
13:17 <@FA_Fel> As with the last session, I will sponsor a specific set of ladders in the Spring session. Awards are available if more than 10 matches are played on the ladders named below, and the awards increase as the number of matches goes up: Jedi Outcast, Republic Commando, and X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter.
